Liverpool Legends Takeover AFC Liverpool

A trio of ex-Liverpool legends have joined together to buy local club AFC Liverpool. Dalglish, Barnes and Fowler paid just £5k between them to gain control of the club. The move comes after Liverpool fans had become unhappy at current owners FSG. "We want to build a club that wants what is best for the fans." Dalglish said. "We arent just here to line our pockets with money."

The trio have already put into progress the development of the clubs training and youth facilities, hoping to give them a solid foundation for players in the future.

Dalglish and co have also convinced another Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher to take charge of the club. The 36 year old retired last year after spending his whole playing career at Liverpool. This is his first venture into management.

The new owners have high hopes for the club, and are aiming one day to rival Liverpool FC in the Premiership. It will be hard work for the club though, as it will take 8 promotions just to reach the Premiership.

Will the club reach the high standards set? Only time will tell.

AFC Liverpool Offer Follower Incentive Plan

AFC Liverpool owners have today announced that they will be offering a Follower Incentive Plan (FIP). What does this mean for you followers? Well, for every person who says they are following this story will "invest" £100k into the club. And what do you get in return? You will become a FIP member.

What is a FIP member I hear you ask. Well, a FIP member will get one vote on the direction of the club. Every 6 months there will be a FIP meeting, where things such as managerial sackings and stadium expansions are discussed and voted on.

Want to be a FIP member? Just comment that you are following to get involved.​

Thank you for all of your interest. The first update will be up soon.

I will be doing updates in January and at the end of the season. I will also do one for the youth intakes.

To start with there wont really be much for FIP members to vote on, but once the club starts moving up the leagues things will get more interesting.

Things are so far looking good for the side are we are on course to match our media prediction of 4th. Carragher's start didnt get off to the greatest start, but managed to pull things together for a club record 6 wins in a row. The performance in the cups was a little disappointing though, as we would have expected the club to reach further rounds of the competitions.

Ronnie Morgan has been in fine form too this season, and is currently joint top scorer in the league.

Finances are looking great so far. All the investment from FIP members has been helping boost the money in the bank.

Like the idea of this, I will be a FIP member, just so you get the extra 100k, not sure how much I will put in, we will see!
