*Contains Spoilers* (Nothing major though)

I only went to see this because most other films out at the moment just looked worse than this. Anyway as expected it was a funny film, but a lot funnier than I expected it to be. Chris Rock [Caretaker] was hilarious and Sandler [Crewe] was funny as well, but not in the 'I hate white people' way.

The rets of the cast all had their bits as well. Especially Terry Crews [Cheeseburger Eddy], Bob Sapp [Switowski], Joey Diaz [Big Tony] and a few of the other inmates had their moments too.

Anyway, the film was obviously predictable as I have seen The Longest Yard (1974) and Mean Machine before so I knew the main storyline pretty well.

A let down was the fact that the 'Pryo' character wasn't as good as the one in Mean Machine. I think he was only in about 5 or 6 scenes overall and there wasn't really much information on him and his reason for trying to kill Crewe was pretty much non existent. Another let down was that the 'You can do it!' guy was only in right at the end, and then it was a pretty dissapoiting few lines. :(

Anyway, if you want to see a funny film then you should go and watch this as it will make you laugh plenty of times.

7/10

Yeh it was pretty funny, better than the original in lots of ways. Especially the guy who was rubbish at everything and slept with the cheerleader.

Rob Schneider is the stapler! :D

Yeh he was good, much better than 'Billy the Limpet' from Mean Machine. The CCTV footage of him was quality, especially when he put the lip gloss on :D

I want to see this but im not going to go in expecting to enjoy it more than Mean Machine to be honest with you all.
The pyro nutter in MM is actually a pretty good actor (he was in Buried which was axed for no reason by channel 4 despite being thier best show at the time) and they gave him a bit more depth than i'd expect from an Americain version.
Plus it had The Monk in it and he was just class.

I didn't expect to enjoy it more than MM either, but I did. :D

The Monk was class, obviously no one as good as him in the film.
