changing player ages in fm editor

in my chelsea team i want to put terry back to being young again, i also want to do the same with ronaldinho and gerrard, when i change their ages to like 20 or something will their attributes start gaining gradually back up to their potential or will they still be on the decline?

They will stay the same. The age attribute in the editor wont alter the current ability or potential.

do you know how i can do it to get their abilities to be what they once where, for example terrys current ability is 161 and his potential is 186, i dont want to alter his individual stats cause ill end up over doing it, and not getting it right, if i put his age at 20, and change his current ability to 180, will his individual stats change after a couple of weeks? and will he eventually reach his potential of 186 in a couple of years?
