Hey Guys and in this thread I'm just going to try and give you guys some pointers on how you can prolong a career/save on Football Manager 2015.

Okay, so there are many people out there who have most likely had 3,4,5 maybe even more saves on this years addition of FM alone when what they really want is a save that can last. A save that you can get so immersed into that you forget what day of the week it is and I'm here to give you some ideas to help you keep that save going and if you guys have any then please tell me them in the reply section!!

- The first hint would be to avoid that first season wonderkid overhaul. Yes it's fine bringing in one or maybe even 2, but when you bring in like 20 different wonderkids then your game will get very boring quite fastly. I personally leave it a season before I sign a wonderkid just to give him some time to see how he does in the first season and if he's developed enough and is still young enough to develop more or if he has had an awesome season then I will sign him

- Another good way to prolong a save is just to make sure that the team you have chosen is a team you have some knowledge about. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that you absolutely cannot go with am obscure team in the Faroe Islands 7th Division and have fun and play it for many, many in-game years. What I am simply saying is playing as a team who you have some knowledge of makes it a little easier to get started and then carry on just because you know that club and players better, that is one of the reasons I had chosen Liverpool. They are a team I know a fair amount about and they are a team that I know almost all of their players so it makes it easier to get started and maybe even grow an attachment to that team. You don't have even choose your favorite team or even a team in a huge country. I know a fair amount about the MLS and when I have played in that league on FM, I have had a lot of fun for an extended amount of time.

- The last point that I will make will be.. Give your save a chance. The amount of times I have read or heard about someone who has started a save and gave up after one friendly game is unbelievable but it happens and something as simple as giving it a chance will definitely help you get into the save and how loads of fun!! #GiveYourSaveAChance

Anyway, I hope you guys have enjoyed reading this little essay and I hope it has given you a little help in prolonging your saves and don't forget you can also post some of your own tips!!! Thanks lads:)

Make tactics your selve and don't just download them!!!!!

One would add to others as you mentioned wonderkids, don't look them up, I personally have no idea of any of these wonderkids and I personally try to avoid seeing them if I can, I'd much rather unearth a gem I've found myself by luck or from my scout telling me to take a look at a player. I do always play as West Ham as it is the team I support and I find in a way I'm lucky we are a mid table prem side as it means the game is a much bigger challenge to me, I love to try to get youth players come through like West Ham have done in the past. On my new game I started recently my aim is to see how much I can get out of the likes of Burke, Potts and Lee in the youth team, they aren't ever expected to become world beaters but you never know, I might be able to make them into decent players and sell them on in the future until one day the academy brings through the next Joe Cole, Rio, Lampard or Carrick. I know it isn't going to be easy, but I have always wondered if you work hard enough can you get a youth player to perform well. On 14 I found in one save Lee became a main member of my starting 11 because he scored loads, but then on other saves he tended to be a player who I'd only use in the cup and have to loan out.

Wow, thanks for the long reply. I agree. Looking at your own academies is the best thing in the world to do on FM because you never know what can happen with them. One thing I always do it sign all the youth intake trialists, no matter how **** they are, just to maybe get a little profit

Start from the bottom of the football pyramid and work your way up to the top. Or start unemployed.

I've never really enjoyed that to much but it's always a good way to make sure that your saves last a long time that's for sure. I always like to play as a team in the top flight of England, France, Spain, Italy or Germany, Portugal or Holland but I usually try and go for a 'fallen giant' in those leagues. I usually make a 5 year plan aswell like Brendn. I'm actually doing one with Arsenal right now if you would care to check it out mate :)

Go to an exotic league - one you know (almost) nothing about ... such as Chile.

That could be fun but I do like playing as a team I either know a lot about or have a connection with and that's because I know the players better and that and to me, having a personal connection with the team makes it much better. Like at the moment I am doing a story with Arsenal. I'm a die hard Tottenham fan and I hate Arsenal but I appreciate that their a great team with a lot of history and it's actually becoming one of my favourite ever FM saves!
