I wish I had taken the SS when it had happen on more than one occasion.

Being the manager of Barcelona now for five seasons I have chopped and changed a few players for whatever reason and as always I like to use youth and bring in some young players. Barcelona have a great squad and one where you can keep the same team going for years without need for major change. My point being whenever I sell a player I get Luis banging on the door complaining that I need to strengthen my squad and even when I am bringing in players (may not be to Luis high standards) no matter who they are we still win whatever is in sight.

Then after he doesn't get what he wants he wants to leave the club and the morale of the team goes down for about a month because it has such an effect. It all turns out well in the end, but still a pain.

Have many others had this with him and or anybody else?

Players get upset when you haven't actually strengthened. The players you bring in need to be better than those going out and more than likely play a similar position.

That is half the problem, I don't want to bring in the ready made 'stars' for me I prefer the make them into a better player etc.. I understand the player and what he believes is best. Just makes me laugh when he doesn't get what he wants transfer wise he throws a hissy. :)

The poor lad needs to have faith. lol

Well, then he was right to be upset. You promised to strengthen the team and didn't.

Some players are just generally pains in the **** mate haha.

I'm like 7 seasons in and the only player that has given me any trouble is some 19 year old youth player I;d never heard of missing training because he was out on the **** before.

1 warning for the first time

1 week fine the second time

2 week fine the third time

Each time he felt it was unfair!

"Clive Pritchard was seen out on the town the night before"

He was also **** and never going to make it. Next time he did it I just released him, little greb!

The game gets a tad annoying when you have world class stars everywhere though. Hard to strengthen at some points.

You have too many WC players and they moan about game time.

Sell one of them so more players get game time and one little pleb moans your replacement (with the future in mind) is not good enough.... vicious circle

I totally get that aspect and to that degree it is right and he is right to be upset. It is just a shame that the players I had decided to let go Alba, Pique and one or two others could not get into my team and was playing a reduced amount of games. Although I like the annoyance of that aspect, I am wondering how others deal with it and if they had players like it.

Jumped up little git. :) But yeah Suarez is right to be annoyed to a degree but if the team is winning and the players who have replaced the sold players you would think he could see the bigger picture.

Then I'm confused. If they weren't getting games and you didn't plan to bring in better players, why lie and say that you would?

It isn't a vicious circle if you manage them correctly. Some won't agree and you'll have to give in or sell, of course, but it happens.

Selling good players and promising to strengthen the team with youth prospects isn't strengthening. The player comes to you with concerns about the squad's current quality. He isn't asking about the future.

Because the players I had brought in was performing better than the ones sold and they was then surplus to requirements because the back ups I had coming through was going to get a chance. He harped on about strengthening the squad and I had explained to him we have a strong enough squad to compete on all fronts (which we have and had as we clean sweep with the team) But he was annoyed because I was not going to strengthen. The players I bring in are young or my youth team. I have no idea where he got that I was going to strengthen. I never told him anything I was not going to deliver.

My point being how many others have had this with either Suarez or any other player.

That's different then. Suarez will be a difficult player. Just prove him wrong by doing well and he'll swallow his tongue.

Difficult is mild for the last three seasons out of the five, but boy he is a touch of class. I guess it's always a case of put up with it or sell on.
