Sir Alex Ferguson insists he still has confidence in Dimitar Berbatov despite his reluctance to start the striker in the Champions League.

Berba = :mad: ---> me

Talented player but non-existent work rate

I think hes a great player, with some work rate he would be world class

Yeah, come on, he's not good, sell him to Tottenham.

No doubt he's good, but he hasn't been consistent enough for United really and doesn't have any work rate at all, and for £30m United could of got a lot better, for instance Benzema was available at the time.

One word. Flop.

Agreed.

He's used to being the star of the show and that's obviously not the case at Manchester United. He's the second-best striker at the club to Rooney and is obviously more comfortable in an environment,or rather a team that has him playing as the only frontman with a playmaker nearby to supply him the through-balls or playing upfront with a striker that is worse than him.

He's good, but unless Rooney never signed for Manchester United, alongside the other stars like Ronaldo and possibly Tevez,he's bollocks for us.Should sell him back to Spurs for like £12.5million.

He's about 28/29 aswell, you're not going to get a massive fee, and certainly won't recoup the £30m

Spurs Fans were ****** off with him with his attitude for refusing to play when United came in for him. He can rot for all I care. He is talented but he only looked good when Keane was partnering him. Glad Spurs mugged United for 30 million for him now.

:p Berbatov gets a lot of unfair stick. :S He really hasn't done too badly, 12 goals in 20 starts in the league is pretty good. He has scored 4 more goals than anelka in less games but anelka gets nowhere near the same amount of stick. I guess most people would hope for more from a 30 million pound striker but he is always going to be stunted a little by playing second fiddle to rooney all the time.

He's not even as lazy as people say, he does try to get back and help the midfield.:p

Oh yeah no doubt he hasn't been really poor, I mean 12 goals is good, but I just don't think £30m is worth that really considering other options available, agreed?

I was shocked into silence when United bought him and I don't think my view on him is any better. He hasn't done all that bad but £30 Million was way way too much for him and I reckon he's felt the pressure

I don't know. You never really now how a transfer will turn out. Benzema is one of the players people on here are saying we should have got instead when benzema's first season at real madrid has been underwhelming to say the least.

25 appearances for a team famed for there attacking football, with a supporting cast of kaka, xabi alonso, ronaldo in a league hardly know for there mean defences and he has managed a massive.......................8 goals.

You really never know how a player will settle into the country, the team and the style of play.

We could have got someone different and they might have been more of a success but at the end of the day we didn't. So i don't see why united fans feel the need to write him off when he is not even having a bad season.:S

Berbatov? Oh that guy from Tottenham, he was pretty good.. What happened to him?.. Haven't seen him for a few years.. (K)

When he was at Spurs he was super, he got loads of goal's which lead to big teams being interested. And Man Utd paid £30 Million, which I thought at the time was a good deal he was getting goals and I did think he would get them 25+ Goals a season, and it's just not worked out. But he is still a good player.

How many assists does he have?

He was United's top assistman last season and hes leading this year too ..

Is he?|) Nice. Where did you find that out? can never find a decent site that tells you how many assists a player has in all comps (or are you just talking about the league?).:O
