If you was to send scouts out just before the youth intake date would they find some of the good youngsters that haven't signed contracts with the club's they've came through?? Thought it would be a cheap way for some good youngsters!!

It's the scouting network (percentage of familiarity in the nation) that links to the intake, not the actual players the scouts find.
All the players coming through a youth intake a players who are now available to play for teams; seem them as college graduates who spent the previous years learning and are now available for hire.

Wait wut so your scouting can also influence the youth recruitment, i just thought it was the HOYD.

So u can't scout for under 16s in England on the day of intake and get a load of new regent?

Your HOYD plays a big part in the type of player brought in; their personalities and determination, ect. The scouting network is the major factori in where you get your regens from.

The U16's you'll be scouting already exist. They're not going to find that years regens since they haven't appeared yet; now if they're really good regens, they'll be playing in the U18 right away so your scouts will spot them that way but they'll appear at the clubs who's academe trained them.

Your youth intake will depend majorly upon your HOYD..
how the players shape up once you've got them will depend upon your academy, the youth coaches, et al..
your scouts work extensively to bring young players from their expertised regions.. and that will depend on your scouts.. so a world class scout with a 20/20 JPA and JPP is more likely to bring in some amazing talent from his area..
also, your youth networks- affiliates, you'll have a few players from them as well, the brightest talents maybe, entering your youth intake..

and hoping to grab players from other clubs' intake before they join them for Trials, I don't suppose that's even possible.. not for free anyway, you'll have to pay the club a fee, as approaching to sign them they'll reject you stating they've just joined the club and blah blah blah...
