So yeah, I’ve been playing the beta and to be fair it’s a lotta’ fun. The ‘create-a-club,’ option has potential but to be honest it needs a whole lot more work and whatnot before it’s a viable option, certainly for me.

Like many of you, I’m waiting for the pre-game editor so I can tailor the game for myself, how I like it. The last couple of months of playing FM15 I ran the nations/leagues outlined below. True enough it doesn’t make for the quickest most streamlined gameplay but trust me, it was a lot of fun. Even with a small database it gives you more players than you know what to do with, but that’s kinda’ the point… Gives you the option of building a pretty fantastic, multinational squad!

So that’s what I’m gonna’ do from the start, this time ‘round. As soon as I can get my grubby lil hands on the pre-game editor.

The leagues I’ll be creating will all have reasonable prize money in both league and cup competitions - NZ, Nigeria & Jamaica probably on a par with Scotland, and the Cooks at a similar scale to Wales.

I’ll be managing three teams under three different profiles. One from NZ, one from Jamaica and the Cook Islands national team. The goal, of course, is winning the Fifa World Club Championship with both club teams - doable, potentially - and getting the Cook Islands to the World Cup finals. I’m under no illusions about the magnitude of the latter task, which is why I’m not setting myself the goal of winning the World Cup with the Cooks. Put it this way, if I make it out of the group stages I’ll consider that a massive, massive success!

Now a novelist I might be but I won’t be posting this as a ‘story,’ as such… If anyone’s interested, however, I’ll post end of season reports for those club teams I decide to manage & all national results for the Cooks, as well as anything else interesting that might occur - such as the first Cook Islands player to sign for a BPL side! Yeah, right!
