Euro 2016 - England journey

As the previous post suggests, this will be a Euro 2016 story following England on their journey.

I've downloaded the real groups but sadly the fixtures are in the correct order.

Anyway, here is an overview of the groups:

England then were picked in Group B along with Wales, Russia and Slovakia.

As I mentioned earlier, the fixtures aren't quite correct on this dateabase so this is the order in which we'll play in Group B

It's a fairly tough group but one we should be looking to top and one we certainly should be qualifying for.

Russia and Wales will both give us a test but we should have enough to beat both.

As you can see, England have never been triumphant in the European Championships!

The best they managed was a semi final defeat at the hands of the Germans in 1996, a tournament that is still talked about today.

With the first game fast approaching, it's important we look through the squad:

A squad packed with talent but slightly less of it in the defensive areas. My other conern is the lack of central defenders with Smalling and Cahill being the only natural center backs and Eric Dier able to fill in.
