Has anyone else also got the feeling that this version of FM is much more vulnerable when you are playing with wingers or inside forwards compared to previous years?
Since I started playing FM 10+ years ago, I always preferred to play 4-3-2-1. I love the wide players, inside scorers can score a lot of goals, while the backs should have the opportunity to go forward and provide assists as well.
However, this version I haven't found a tactic which gives me as solid results as tactics without wide players. I tried several tactics from the forum as well, but all are pretty leaky at the back (even when I am playing with good teams like Dortmund or Roma). I am just struggling to be consistent, while I get good runs of results with other tactics.
For now I am using a diamond tactic and 3 striker tactic which are both great, but I just can't get that all 4-2-3-1 tactics don't seem to work for me. When choosing a new club, I now avoid the ones with great wingers, which is a pity.
Do more people have the same problem?
