This will be my first ever story on any football manager game. Although I have never posted a story before, I have played FM for quite a while now, but stories are new to me. So try not to be too harsh if/when I make mistakes regarding posting ect. :)
For this story, I will try to win the top league in England, France, Spain, Italy and Holland. I will try to do this in 10 seasons or under. I will start in England and will take charge of a team in the premier league who are predicted to be relagated (Burnley, Hull or Wolves) and will not leave until I have been sacked, or i have won the Premier League.

Updates will follow this evening, if anybody is interested :)

Good luck. sounds really ambitious to do it in 10 seasons! What did you put your reputation at to start with?

Wolves Revolution

Out of the three clubs I had to choose from, I have decided to take charge at Wolves. After looking at the team, I was quite suprised by the strengh of the team. However there is room for improvement, the LB and CB areas could use some work.

STAR PLAYERS:
Kevin Doyle:

The striker is premiership quality, and it wouldn't suprise me if he could get to 20 goals this season. Let's hope, for my sake, he can :D
Nenad Milijas:

He will be my playmaker this season, he can provide danger from set plays and, if he and Doyle can connect, we should be staying far away from the drop zone.

Thanks. Just hope I haven't set myself too difficult a task! Updates tomorrow :)

PRE SEASON

I told the board that I could avoid relagation this season, I personally feel we can stay well away from the drop zone, and a mid table finish isn't beyond our grasp. However I wanted to play it safe, and build for next season. The board have given me a transfer budget of £6 million, and a wage budget of £240,000 per week. ( I am spending £225,000 at the minute)
TRANSFERS:

IN:
Yannick Djalo, £800k from Sporting CP. He is the best striker in my team, I am expecting him to both score and create goals.

Jlloyd Samuel, £2 million from Bolton. Adds much needed depth to the left back area, he is the best left back I had, however I may need to bring in another left back in january, depending on how he preforms.

OUTS:

NONE

FRIENDLY MATCHES:

I was pleased with our pre season, winning every game pretty easily. However, this will count for nothing at the end of the season and I doubt the premier league will be as forgiving as these teams. We need to keep hold of the ball better, we gave it away far too much over these games. One thing i am very hopefull about, however, is our attacking force:

Each striker is playing very well at the moment, and as my system plays three forwards, there will be lots of competition for places which is good. Attack is by far the best area of my team, and I am hoping these guys will preform for me :D

I'm off today, so there should be a couple of updates later for anyone who is interested :)

good start mate. I would try and bring in a centre back with your left over cash though

August 2009

Premiership, Matchday 1
Wolves 2 - 0 Tottenham (Doyle, Djalo)
I am very pleased with the way the team preformed in this match. We went into the game being written off. Spurs were expected win the game, and win easily, but we proved everybody wrong. Doyle and Djalo got the headlines with the goals, but it was Milijas who was pulling the strings in midfield. Getting hmself two assists.

Premiership, Matchday 2
Wolves 1 - 0 Man City (Ebanks-Blake)

I am delighted with this result :D once again, we were heavy underdogs. The first 20 minutes was like the blitz, City had almost all of the possesion, but they just couldn't brake us down. However I thought all our hard work could be undone in the 24th minute when Tevez was fouled in the box... However Petrov couldn't keep his nerve and the penalty was saved :D In the second half, we were the better team. Doyle had three glorious chances to find the back of the net, but was awful all game :'( Then in the 85th minute, sub Sylvan Ebanks-Blake scored a screamer from 20 yards to leave Man City red faced ;)

League Cup, 2nd round
Wolves 4 - 1 Derby (Milijas, Henry x2, Vokes)
The captain led by example, scoring twice

Premiership, Matchday 3

Wolves 3 - 1 Stoke (Djalo x2, O.G)
Stoke scored in the first minute of the game, but the lads showed great spirit by bouncing back. Djalo ran Stoke all over the park, and got two goals in the process

On paper, I could see us getting 3 points maximum out of our first 3 games. Still, the team has proved me wrong and we have a 100% record going into September, with two of the best teams already beaten :D We are currently 4th in the league with a game in hand.

Full transfer update soon guys :)

TRANSFER UPDATE

As I said in an earlier post, I was given a transfer budget of £6 million by the board. However I sold Michael Kightly to CSKA for £5 million, which I am pleased about.

IN:

Yannick Djalo - 800k from Sporting CP

Jlloyd Samuel - £2 million from Bolton

Mohammed Abou Trika - £6.5 million from Al-Ahly

I paid a little more than I would have liked for him, but he joins as my best midfielder, (thats right, even better than Milijas!), and is very technically gifted.

OUT:

Michael Kightly - £5 million to CSKA
George Friend - Loan

good start mate. I would try and bring in a centre back with your left over cash though
I was going to, but the area has more depth than I first thought, I have a youngster on loan from Chelsea who can provide cover :)

Should be an update tonight guys :)

SEPTEMBER 2009

Premiership, Matchday 4 (Home)
Wolves 4 -1 West Ham (Djalo, Ebanks-Blake x2, Vokes)
I was very pleased with Sam Vokes' preformance in this match, the youngster is holding his own in the Premier League and is keeping Doyle out of the side. Very promising.

Premiership, Matchday 5 (Away)
Wolves 1 - 2 Wigan (Djalo)
A little upset with this result, after our preformances against Spurs and City, I felt we could beat anybody. I was brought back down to earth by a suprisingly good Wigan side. We just couldn't break their defence down.

League Cup, 3rd round (Away)
Wolves 1 - 2 Man U (Vokes)
I shouldn't be upset about this result, we held the best team in the world (except Newcastle :D) to a one goal margin, but I saw the United team and really thought we could win. No Rooney. No Berbatov. No Van Der Sar. But their midfield were just too strong. Nani scoring the winning goal.

Premiership, Matchday 6 (Home)
Wolves 3 - 1 Birmingham (Berra, Maierhofer, Djalo)
After two defeats in a row, we needed a win to keep moral up. The team responded in the best way possible. Christophe Berra was our man of the match, the defender played brilliantly, and scored with a powerful header. Great win.

A mixed month for Wolves. We got, and deserved, great wins against West Ham and Birmingham. However I was dissapointed with the Wigan game. The Man U game was also a low point. However, with my small squad, I can now focus on the PL. We are about to start our toughest spell of the season, playing all of the 'big 4' in the space of 3 weeks. We are currently 4th in the PL but can go second if we win our game in hand :D
