BREAKING NEWS

FC BAYERN SACK VAN GAAL, APPOINT WATSON

News from the Allianz Arena this morning that FC Bayern have sacked Dutch tactician Louis van Gaal, and appointed FC Bayern II's Assistant Stuart Watson to the hotseat. The appointment has been met with mixed response in Munich, some saying it's a huge step backwards, and others saying it could be a masterstroke.

Reports suggest that chairman Karl-Heinze Rummenige, and club director Uli Hoeneß had lost patience with van Gaal, after losing the Champions League Final, and having 'unrealistic' transfer aspirations. The rumours have already started circulating as to who is going to and from the Bavarian club, with stars such as Franck Ribery and Bastian Schweinsteiger being linked with moves away, and Nicolas Otamendi is the name that seems to be linked constantly to the Allianz.

Updates/Squad etc soon.

Good luck stuart, just pass to robben, and you will win

G'luck Stu, hopefully this will keep going for a while :)

good luck lads not many bayern stories on the site hope u both do well

Thanks lads, really need a new challenge, as you can only manage Newcastle so many times before getting bored. I hope it is a fun challenge:)

Good luck, like stories in foreign leagues so will be following.

Good luck pal. Looking forward to see your Winger tactic for Ribery and Robben :)

Yeah, hoping they will fit in, although RIbery could be the money-maker for me, as the finances aren't great, and I have some tempting bids for him.

i dont know why in FM Bayern has so terrible finances as they are actually stable in RL

good luck, but for me id get rid of ribery. never been much of a fan and you've got robben who imo is better :)

Nooo keep Ribery great player for me so far 10 games 5 goals 7 assists key player robben is not fit long enuff to make an impact really :( Ribery carries my team i rejected 50 million and would happily reject up too 90 mill

Get a new keeper btw **** is a load of ***** if you pardon the punn

First Update

Here is my squad, and formation, aswell as my main players.

GK/DEF
FCBayernMnchen.png

A strong defence, but DR is a weak point, which is a position I will be looking to strengthen. I also need some backup to DC and DL, which will hopefully be some younger players. I will also be looking, not straight away, for a new number 1, as **** is 35, and Rensing isn't the best.

MID/STR
FCBayernMnchen-2.png

Central Midfield is the weakest point in the side. Van Bommel is a little old, but will do a job for the next season. Not problems with the wingers, although I have some interesting offers for Ribery, which I am seriously considering. I don't see any problems up front, with a good mix of power and speed, although I will need to look towards a replacement for Klose sooner rather than later.

Squad Summary

I like to use a 4-5-1 formation, which suits this side well, meaning I can really use Robben and Ribery to full effect. If I need to, I can lose my DMC, and bring in an extra Striker.

I have around 7m to spend, which should get me a couple of players in, although I will be selling some players to add some extra funds.

I personally prefer Robben, and he is a better AML than Ribery in-game.

KEY PLAYERS

FRANCK RIBERY

Needless to say, he will be(if he stays) an integral part of my side. One of the most naturally gifted players in football today.

ARJEN ROBBEN

Again, one of the true global superstars of the game, IMO, the best left winger on the planet.

THOMAS MULLER

One of the clubs biggest prospects. He has been on FCB's books since the age of 10, and will no doubt be German international and world-class striker in the coming years.

Good luck, looks quality so far... And btw what skin is that?

FC Bayern today unveiled three new acquisitions to their squad. 21-year-old Nicolas Otamendi, a 4.5m signing from Velez, Naoki Yamada, 750k signing from Urawa, and youngster Aitor Goni, a 600k capture from Osasuna were unveiled, as Stuart Watson started his 'restructuring' of FC Bayern. Watson also confirmed that Brazilian forward Adriano would join the club on August 30 on a free transfer, after agreeing a deal.

The club also announced the departure of three players, aswell as one outgoing loan deal. Christian Saba has joined Ipswich in a 425k deal, Andreas Gorlitz has moved to fellow Bundesliga club Werder in a 2.6m deal, and Hamit Altintop ended his 3-year stint at the club, with a 6m move to Chelsea. David Alaba joined Anderlecht on loan for the season, with Watson keeping very close tabs on the young Austrian.
