The idea of this take on the Auction Game is to allow for a much faster response between the time that you make your bids and when you get your results. There will be 12 hours between player lists being published, and you will be expected to get your results in within this time-frame. If you fail to do so, then you will miss out. There will be a total of 8 days of bidding, with the final day acting as a bonus at the end which will include all players which weren't purchased for some reason.
If you fail to bid a total of 3 times, then you will be removed from the game and a replacement will step in with a fresh budget and all of the players that you have accumulated will go back into the auction for the bonus day.
10 Members total will participate in this auction. The members will be hand-picked at my discretion, based on who I believe to be the most reliable and active on the forum and IRC channel. If you do not frequent either of these, then please do not bother applying as the likelihood of participation for you is low.
The budget is set at £320 million to account for 16 player purchases, and this averages out to be around £20 million per player. Any more or less than 16, and the number of backup players provided will be affected as follows:
11 Players = No Backup [Total: 11]
12 Players = 1 Backups [Total: 13]
13 Players = 2 Backups [Total: 15]
14 Players = 3 Backups [Total: 17]
15 Players = 4 Backups [Total: 19]
16 Players = 5 Backups [Total: 21]
17 Players = 4 Backups [Total: 21]
18 Players = 3 Backups [Total: 21]
19 Players = 2 Backups [Total: 21]
20 Players = 1 Backups [Total: 21]
21 Players = No Backup [Total: 21]
As you can see, it is in your best interests to budget for 16 players or more as specified, or you will lose out on a number of reserves.
Every 12 hours, the results of the previous auction will be posted up on here and a new list will follow shortly after.
Each auction, you will be limited to bidding for the following:
- 1 Goalkeeper
- 3 Defenders
- 4 Midfielders
- 2 Strikers
Of course, you can bid for less than the above amount if you wish.
The minimum bid for each of the players you wish to bid for will be included alongside their name. There will not be any bids for managers in this game, as these will be randomly assigned at the end of the auction process and announced at the end.

Regarding Backup players:
Backup players will be requestable by position only. You will receive a random player fulfilling that position with CA between 135-140. I don't intend to include world-class players in the backup assignments because the idea is that you spend the money to acquire these talents.
