Players you've Built the team around.

Alot of Sucsesful team E.g Real Madrid with Figo and Zidane built the whole team around them..
Does anyone else do this or is this bad im thinking of doing it with Riquelme?
 
Nah I think you should do that definately too many cooks spoil the broth. I think building your squad around one excellent player given him exactly what he wants helps your cause. I built my Chelsea squad around Lampard given him total freedom to do what he wanted and he paid me back with 30+ goals in all competitions plus World Player of the Year. Done it at Rangers built my team around Steven Davis and also Fleck and that proved a bold move but worked swimingly. Trying to do it with Werder Bremen only using German players so the likes of Naldo Jensen Almeida and Rosenberg all gone and in came Tasci Cacau. I've tried to build the teasm around Frings but hes old and keeps getting sent off so I'm waiting for Ballack to be released and bring him in.
 
i dont have personal experience but Jake in his Cultural Leonesa story built a tactic around the legend that is Alejandro Rocamora and as they say the rest is history
 
Thanks for that, i might build my Everton team around Riquelme and Cardozo. Although Cardozo has got 27 goals in 35 games.

Cb: Distin/Jagielka
Lb : Baines
Cm : Fellani/Rodwell
Cm : Gago/Sandro/Diarra
Amc : Pienar/Arteta/Cahil
Amc : Riquelme/Vukcevic
Amc : Montolivo/Hamsik
St : Adriano/Cabanas/Cardozo/Yakubu/Soldado
Any of them should i build around??
 
dont play riquelme with that team imo.
play arteta hamsik and vukcevic as your am and build around your striker
 
I often Build my England teams around Rob Green..
 
I usually play them three but Hamsik has a Broken Foot and Vukcevic has a Spine Problem and hes out for 8 months so i had to buy Riquelme at the last minute i tried Modric but they wanted 37 million i only had 30 i need a Rb and Lb, i now have a budget of 49million modric has gone to Inter.
Any other people Amc i could buy and could fit in?
 
I build my side around my backs and my flanks, and in particular my youth graduate, Dave Benjamin (kicked out Milevskyi, but will be kicked out when Lukaku is available on a bosman)-

RB- Ivan Veikutis (177 CA- regen), LB- Miguel Farias (186 CA-regen)
AMR- Franck Ribery/Axel Witsel/Donal McDermott, AML- Javier De La Torre (approaching 198 CA-regen)

Youth Graduate- Dave Benjamin (ST, 130 something CA, 160-170 PA)
 
I build around my strikers and my wingers as they are very solid for my Toulouse side. I have Milevskyi and Vagner Love up front and Danny and Giuliano/Beerens on the flanks, meaning that in the final 3rd I am very dangerous.
 
I built my Norwich side around Wes Hoolahan in the 1st season and went up as undefeated champions with him scoring 20+ goals :)
 
well im building my birmingham team round three strikers Dzeko,Tevez and Aguero
 
what do you mean by building it around players, like there personalities??
is that possible in football manager?

i always just try to build the best possible team, but i always build it around a formation, so if i wanted a change i'd need maybe 2 transfer windows atm because i have only players to suit that formaiton

Like when you have an amazing player who is head and shoulders above the rest then you want him to perform as well as poss, yes?

Then you build a team around him, making him the centre of attention basically
 
How do you do it? My best player is Deigo Buonanotte so how would I build the team around him?
 
I built my team around Gourcuff Rooney and Ozil...and now gourcuff and ozil are injured and im ******
 
Do I all the time...create new tactics to fit my players...at the moment play a strange 3-4-3 formation, so that I can play Sanchez, Neymar and Dzeko all upfront in my game...but it's mainly focused around dzeko, i wanted him to get loads of goals, so he's a target man, with neymar and sanchez as deep lying forwards either side. Tis working great

Man City- Yoann Gourcuff
