I've followed the guides/videos/post...etc..etc..

I open the editor , load the database , change one or two things.. save it as a new DB. But then I open the game and select new game it doesn't give me the option to load my changes/db. Anyone know what it is that i'm doing wrong or how to get the game to give me the option to select my edits?

That box isn't coming up.. Do I need to have the 10.3.0 version? I noticed my version is only 10.0.0. Didn't think it would matter.

You shouldn't do -- I never had this problem with the original database, but it could be a bug. There's no harm in up-dating to 10.3 anyway though as it fixes bugs and updates some transfers etc... In 10.0 you can't accept international job offers for instance, but they fixed this problem in one of the patches.

How did you save your database changes -- SAVE, SAVE AS, MERGE EDITOR DATA?

Also, where did you save them to -- what is the folder destination you've used?

When I save a DB I click Save As

Saving them in Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2010 > editor data
Thanks a lot for your time so far by the way!

What is the database you're trying to work?

Is it yours, or is it a Downloaded one of the internet?

I'm trying to use the one that I edited. Yesterday was my first time playing. I opened the editor and loaded the DB and just wanted to test it out so I changed the name of Seattle Sounders FC to another named. Clicked "Save As" and created a file in the editor data. When I open the game and select new game it doesn't give me the option to load any of the changes.

Can you load up FM 2010 for me and click on the preferences tab (before you start a new game or anything of the sort.) then select the display and sound option. Can you take a screenshot of that page (by pressing alt and f9) and upload it here. In the Fm folder (where you can see editor data folder and all the other ones create a new folder and call it screenshots -- if you haven't got one in there called that already. This is where your screenshot will be saved too.)

I´m having the same problem. When I´m trying to choose the database, FM2010 says there´s none to choose. I have tried all databases, but my FM2010 cannot find any from "Editor data" -folder. What seems to be the problem? My FM2010 version is updated, but still the error exists.

Problem solved!

I realized my FM2010 game (d:\pelit\FM2010) and the needed database (C:\Documents and Settings\Markku\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\editor data ) were in different locations.

You can use your FM2010 editor in order to find out where your database is located.

There's nothing amiss in your screenshot anyway. Next step would be to do what the post above says (that should have been my first suggestion, but when I read your OP I thought you might have gone past that stage already.)

The edited database file you're saving needs to be put in the following location -- YOUR DOCUMENTS / Sports Interactive / FM 2010 / editor data

If it's not you can copy and paste it there.

Let me know if you're still having problems after that.
