Unofficial sources state that Ralf Rangnick has had his contract terminated after declaring Ultimatum. Rumours flying around the Rhein-Neckar-Arena suggest that after a bust up with chairman Peter Hofmann due to failing expectations and lack of harmony within the club. It is still unknown how the squad and fans will react to the decision. More news to follow this report...

(Not interested by a move to England...)

Within hours of taking over the role of 'Hoffe' Peters has already had talks with Obasi and has rubbished rumours of a possible move to the Emirates. Obasi has signed a 4-year contract until 2014 and is reportedly earning £51,000 a week. Peters has also informed us of Salihovic, Weis and Carlos Eduardo tieing down their future with Hoffeheim.

The Englishman also stated his expectations:

" This club has come a far way in a short term, and we are not planning on slowing down. I've spoken to some of the squad and the squad is young and ambitious. At the end of the season we aim to qualify Europe. "

Good luck mate, German Stories are always good :)

Kjaer Rejects Madrid, United & Barca... & Joins Hoffenheim!

Former Palermo rock Simon Kjaer raised many eyebrows after agreeing terms to happily join Hoffenheim.

Newly-appointed manager Peters is looking to bring the young German side to a new level and believes Kjaer will be an important piece to the jigsaw this season. Kjaer is sidelined for four weeks and is buoyed to be in such a young and ambitous squad with talent all around him.

BBC Sport confirmed Kjaer rejected the big offers so he could nail down first-team football instead of warming up benches.

German Cup 1st Round

FSV Frankfuht (Gledson 64') 1 - 2 Hoffenheim (Obasi 24' Ibisevic 88')

Despite the narrow scoreline, Hoffenheim dominated possession but fair play to Frankfuht as they hit Hoffenheim on a dangerous break, no thanks to lapse in concentration from Beck. The game settled down in Frankfurt's favour until Bosnian hit-mail Ibisevic calmly passed it into the back of the net from a great string of passes from Hoffenheim. 'Hoffe' must now prepare in a weeks time to kick-off the Bundesliga against giants Bayern Munich!
