Althought I have never found success with Manchester United,I would say playing a 4-3-3 or 4-2-4 would work best.
Should look to train Van der Vaart as a winger on either side and possibly as an Advanced Playmaker.
Btw,you should of signed Gourcuff and di Maria instead.Just a hint for next time

its not a question of whwat can you play with united, its what cant you play with. united can play several formations ive used 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 4-5-1, 4-2-3-1, 4-2-3-1 deep. you should work out how you want to player BEFORE you sign players

the fact that they can play wide, or throught the middle. they are all intelligent players, ie good mental stats, so you can demand more from them tactically. ive got them playing aggressive possession football, while being utterly solid at the back. they are all relatively very creative, hard working

When I play aggressive tackling,they all get booked,sent off and suspended.
I played a rigid 4-3-3 and lost to Bolton 1-0 when I had beaten Chelsea 1-0 oO)

lol, change th tackling stting during the game, use shouts if a ref gives cards for every sliding tackle tell your players to stay ion their feet. ??why do ppl want some tac that just works without any tinkering ever, DL a top tac set up your team go on holliday go eat a pizza come back put on a movie... why are you playing a game if you don't want to interact with it??
it could just be that your style doesnt suit them at all. maybe its just me. but i just find i understand what the players are capable of really easily. maybe its just horses for courses. for example i dont like playing with barcelona at all

get a good relationship with their coach should make it easier. trying right of the bat seems to help( seems like they need £££ at game start) keep any eye on them, and wait until their nub coach starts badmouting the team and they wanna leave and if that does not work, resign join them as managr and buy th rest of your team back^^

well thats a rubbish deal since andseron is an amazing player if used right, he cuts teams to shred and gets lots of assists. villa is available 60 milion, and aguero has a release fee for 52 millio
