Headers in the game

Is it me or do about 1/50 crosses lead to goals from headers, I have cardoza and balotelli playing and all the headers just seem to drift over the bar...

Your best bet is full backs crossing from deep to the far post I've had success with lukaku and traore with this

I was really shocked when he started doing it but this season in my save Gourcuffs had 8 headed goals even though I've got Dzeko as my target man.

ive not got a problem with headed goals at all, in my game 8 out of jovetics 22 goals from left mid have come from crosses and been headed in, and my right mids are valencia and milner so their fairly decent but not amazing crossers

i have no problem with headed goals either, even my Striker Kas'kov has scored a handful and he is pretty short..
there are a few tweaks you can do to your tactics to get the best out of Cardozo or similar type of player:

1) Set crossing to "Float"
2) setting Touchline Instructions to "Pump Ball inot Box"
3) Setting Cardozo (or similar player) to Target Man under team instructions - Ball to Head
4) Setting your wingers and fullbacks to cross to "Target Man"

It was tweaked to this on 10.3. It's actually pretty ok now, it was too easy to direct headers down in earlier patches.
Your targetman has to be REALLY good in the air to be effective, otherwise you just get random headers in from defender errors. What bothers me is that stats of the guy doing the cross aren't that important so it doesn't make sense to sign and use people who are great wingers but not great finishers. Doesn't really matter WHO dishes out the cross as long as it isnt someone pisspoor who constantly puts the ball out of bounds. You just have to dominate the DC in the air with your forward.

Not if they have a heading rating of under 15.. and are small..

If they are small and cant head, drill crosses.

I don't particularly score many goals, but Klose always seems to get at least one against me.

He's scored a hatrick twice against my Hoffenheim side, with 5 of the 6 being headed goals.

I dunno if it's just me but too many go over. I don't have a problem creating headed chances, they just seem to keep going over. Especially corners. Dzeko has about 10 corner headed chances per game and sometimes doesnt score any of them, he never scores 2. Maybe I'm just being greedy though
