So, im using a 4-4-2 and almost 90% of my goals come from the strikers up front but i feel like they could be doing alot more than they already are.

Currently im using a poacher and deep lying forward(support) as the main plan. Is this good or is there a combination better suited?

My strikers come in 4 different moulds. The Rooney type(aka strong, pretty fast and aggessive), the berbatov type (aka creative, good dribbling) , the owen type (pure poacher, not much pace anymore, but good shooting and anticipation) and some youngsters who just have alot of pace and are explosive.

So now im confused on selecting the players and their roles. (Not sure if i should be posting this here or in another stickied thread ps.)

But basically i just want to know the best combination for the front man in a 4-4-2 tactic with no wingers but just wide midfielders. I dont cross the ball much at all.

I would play a deep lying forward support (rooney) to link up the midfield and set up the other striker to score. so the other striker should be poacher, advanced forward or maybe even complete forward.

Pandev and Chamakh banged in 50 league goals between them and got tons of assists.

Chamakh (Target man)
Pandev (Advanced Forward)

Target Man - Support and Poacher - Attack is the most obvious choice for me but seeing your strikers, i would choose Complete Forward - Attack and Poacher - Attack which seems to work well for me.
