Liverpool chairman Martin Broughton fears the club is at risk of entering administration, leaving it devalued and "wide open to predators".

god liverpool are in a bad way hope the can pull threw and not do a leeds :S.

Just hope Hicks and Gillett lose the court case.

Would mean both my favoured clubs have entered administration, sigh.

Can't see why they will win the court case, they've destroyed the club and taken it from Champions League winners (If I remember rightly and that was their 1st full season) to a club that are fighting relegation. That's 1 line I thought I'd never use!!! Really hope they get taken over by one of the 2 proposed buyers as the way I see it G&H have done to Liverpool what Rupert Lowe done to my beloved Saints except they had patience with a manager and not change them every time they wiped their *****!

i dont see why hicks and gillette are taking it to court, even if they win they will just lose the club when RBS take control

They're basically trying to buy time so they can find a buyer that meets their valuation. 150mil out of pocket as petty as it sounds is worth fighting for, no matter the chances. What they'll probably so is get another loan in the meantime to cover what's need to pay RBS and buy some more time. But it's a vicious cycle and pretty much a financial landmine.

:O(H):O(H):O(H) been waiting for this day for a long time but will be a great shame for lpool football club as a united fan i love it but i do feel sorry for the liverpool fans hope they dont get adminstration of topic as the owner are yanks why is it a good thing to sell to another yank dont seem like a good idea to me

I'm no liverpool fan but I think it is sad to see what is happening to the club who was once the best club in England :S

3 independant board members and RBS believe their case is watertight and that administration is not going to happen. However, they have to show to the court that they are acting in best interests of the company and shareholders and avoiding administration in this case is obviously in the best interests of both. It is a likely scenario now only if Hicks manages to win or delay things.

However, there's no such thing as a legal certainty and so it must remain a possibility.
