Im new so firstly wanna say hello to you all :)

anyway

I've never struggled in FM so much as I am right now, trying to play in FC Nantes (french 2nd league) they got a big squad and no money so i get rid of most of **** players buy like 8-10 very good ones i.e maresca, nestor, traore from cluj, kadlec, mendy etc etc using the 451 tactic and playing like ****.... in FM10 playing as OGC Nice using similar tactics and even having worst players I won Champions League in about 5-6years and been the best team in the world since pretty much, now i cant even win a home game with a team much worse than mine...(6)

Well, Hello it's always nice to have fresh members.

But it may be your tactics, rather than the game, maybe even both, I'm not sure.

To be fair the game has been out for a few days, it might seem hard but its possible you're just not used to it yet? I know it took me a month or two before I felt confident in my FM10 abilities.

How boring would FM be if you won everything on your first go? The best thing about FM is it's replay value, you have two choices, tough it out, maybe download a tactic or sort yours out (it's clearly not working) but more importantly you've completely overhauled your squad which is going to take a while for them to gel. Or secondly just quit and start a game, maybe with an easier team.

And welcome to the forums :)

Been playing managers for about 10 years now and dont like playing better teams not as much fun :p

well maybe you're right about overhauling the team however if they're original players are **** then why shouldnt I buy better ones to replace them :/ Im thinking of starting again and buying like 2-3 and see what happens lol

I think this is a harder game.

A few well placed signings could get any, and I mean any, club promoted on '10. Not so now.

Hi I also start a new game with Nantes. Why? Because I wanted a challenge. Want to prove myself that I can lead a second division team to the top of European competitions without the big stars. So I'm planning to achieve it within 5 seasons. first season to get promoted to Ligue 1, seasons 2 and 3 to get to European cup, and two more seasons to win the champions League.

First thing I think, is to gel the squad. No budget at the begining? So no new players for me, I go with the squad in place, and develop a tactic wich favorise the type of players I have...Well actually it seems that no one on that team could win games by himself, so collective play will be the key for me. Short passing, ball possession...well as long as I get the ball, I won't give up goals...

Second thing Is to develop youngsters, and set the same tactical philosophy to the -18, reserve and major team, then when my youngsters will arrive to the first team they will easily merge into the group.

Third priority is to hire the best coaches as possible, to have my youngsters reaching their full potential.

Training camp is on the way, Big upset win over Paris St-Germain 3-1, wich is a fairly good Ligue 1 team...That kind of victory could really help the moral, and my players could begin to believe in my tactics...Oh yeah I forgot to mentionne that I am an amateur coach, from Canada (so I know more about hockey than Football).

tried 12 different tactics , none works for my team , i think i`m gonna give up , it`s getting shittttyyyy

I think the game is the best yet! I just got it and the detail into which SI have put into it are immaculate. It looks alot harder, but thats what you want!!!

i dont think it will be possible to win the league with no transfers at all with the current team, they're predicted to be 9th in the league, you would have to be a tactical genius to get a 1-3 place with their squad :)

+ i like having my favourite player in the team a guy that will make me stick to the club hehe

Well I don't think the prediction really matters. Did last year's prediction placed Tottenham in the Champion's League? Did pre world cup's predictions placed Uruguay in semi-finals? Did Lyon won the Ligue 1 since any "expert" placed them in first place?

What happens on the pitch is the only fact that matters

of course you're right, however media show you some kind of idea of how good your team is, i dont think its possible to win a league with a team predicted to be at the very bottom of the league ;) especially without any signings

No, it's not. FM11 is much more advanced than FM10. SI are always looking for ways to improve the game and make it more realistic. You wouldn't take over at Manchester United then complain to the press that it's too hard. Same concept, kind of. It's a great game, just enjoy it.

Match Preparation plays a big part in how well your team plays btw. You can't just change tactics ***** nilly and have your team play there best. You have to basically train them to play that formation.

fm2011 is very easy to play im have really gud results havent lost a game yet half way through season, tactic i use is 443

I completely agree. Last season Blackpool were favourites for religation in the championship and now look at them... They got promoted and have had some good results against some of the best clubs in the world.. Media predictions mean nothing.. Anything can happen.

i have found it harder, but its still reasonable, i get bored very quickly if i win every game but the same goes if i lose every game, its good to know if i do anything its due to my signings or tactics
