Possible to update a 0.0 save to new patch?

I started a save with my Liverpool before the patch. I updated it and still when im in December the new owners haven't arrived. I don't really care about the cash in the summer because it would be more realistic as it is before the patch with 0 transfer budget.

My question is, will the new owners arrive? If they do, when? Or should I start a new save ?

Database changes (transfers, new boards, stat adjustments) do not affect an ongoing save, you will have to start a new game to see them.

The only way a patch affects an ongoing save is match engine tweaks and bug fixing, it can't touch a game world thats already in progress.

If you don't want to start a new game, you could always edit the board into the game, using FMRTE which will be out soon if it isn't already.

Oh thank you, I see. But If I edit the new owners/board into the game it will practically be the same? Because if I remember right: in fm 10 when patch 10.0.3 came. I installed the patch and when I continued my game maxi rodriguez was suddenly in the club. But I think you are right, it's maybe better to start a new game then
