Byte Shield and the never ending problems

I downloaded the game from Direct2Drive, and after a while downloading and VERY slow installation i got a few days of good play (running as admin), last couple days everytime i run it it either says the server is down, or asks for my Keycode again.

Am I the only one who thinks that the fact we pay FULL PRICE for this game to download we have to run it through some third party??

Any tips on this? its ridiculous that it should faulter like that so often
 
I have the exact same problems as you, was working fine for about a week and suddenly its telling me to enter the activation code again and not working. Very frustrating!
 
Cant you get a refund of direct2drive and ust buy it off GAME or shopto.net or a trusted website?

I always think its best to have a hard copy of the game
 
Would I have to start my game again? I'm already a season into mine and finding it very enjoyable..
 
i downloaded it today and when i try and click on file 1 setup it asks for a disk anyone got any ideas as i am getting really p****d off now as paid 27 quid for it and cant play it
 
Yeah i downloaded it from a trusted site (Game) and i keep getting the source file is corrupted everytime i try and install it. Very frustating. I've tried moving it all to a memory stick but still the same. Any solutions would be very highly appreciated.

Hi im dying to play fm11 but byte shield has me demented..
i have tried opening it normally and as an administrator but at every attempt it just does not start. i bought the game from game.co.uk and as i see no way to get my money back i would really like to solve this. i have windows 7 on a netbook and i have no cd drive. any help would really be appreciated
