Quite new to this forum but been browsing it for literally years and seen many San Marino success stories so i thought have a go meself, its horrible.

Lost 5-1 to Israel to start with which i was happy with, because we'd scored. Next came a 8-0 to Holland, 12-0 to Sweden and 5-2 to Hungry.

I really would appreciate some help, ive used various downloaded tactics and none work, i cant keep possession whatsoever. Tactics set to short passing and high tempo yet my defenders lump it long constantly and kick it out for throw in's constantly.

I've never ever had a gamesave this dreadful, 12-0 v Sweden is just ridiculous.

San Marino aren't the greatest are they? Losses during your first few seasons should be expected, use tactics with 5 in defence, maybe a sweeeper. Short passing, nothing to risky. Build for the future, and get some good regens in the squad, for the future.

Best of luck |)

Cheers guys, Salva up front is the only decent player at all and he only has 8 (EIGHT) international goals and he's like 34 !!

Will try out the recommendations and give feedback :)

you need to load all dan marinese players when you start the game, you find it under the custom option when choing the database size.

From what I've seen, unless you actually help your national team by actually managing a team that has san marino regens (San Marino teams obviously, and San Marino team in Italy) and constantly improving the youth facilities, you don't stand much of a chance.
Ubernisation's San Marino story is a good example. Maybe contact him for advice?

What you're going through is to be expected :p Honestly you gotta look at a San Marino game as a long term project. Effectively every player who starts the game is worthless and should be replaced with good regens ASAP, that's besides Selva, Simoncini and Mazza (who can develop pretty well). Just take the beatings early on and pray for good regens.
