I have decided to start a new challenge where I start off as an unemployed manager with semi-professional footballer experience and work my way up the football ladder to hopefully become a World Cup winning manager.
I have loaded FM11 up with the 11.2 patch and the recommnded leagues loaded.
I would like to invite anyone who is interested to join me in this challenge and to post their progress on this thread.

Team:
Season:

League:
Final Position:
Cups:
Average Attendance:
Biggest Win:
Biggest Defeat:
Top Goalscorer:
Most Assists:
Highest Average Rating:
Fans Player of the Year:

also it would be great if you could post screenshots of the following:
Final League Table
Season Transfers
Season Best XI

I will fill out some of these myself as an example.

Sounds very challenging I'm still highly unexperienced when it comes to international management. I may give it a try after I get bored of my current save (aiming to win PL with Middlesbrough).

this seperates the Ferguson's from the Benetiz's:D
will definitly give it a go

I funnily started a game unemployed this morning but challange isn't to win the world cup it's just to see how far I can get and plus I would load down to Blue Square Premier so it's easier to get a job at the start.

slightly changed the OP and started again with "professional footballer" experience due to lack of job offers

changed it again semi-professional footballer

got offered my first job at Hereford

I started unemployed only once, after 1 year got my 1st job in a relegated Hartlepool United, managed to get them in Championship, then Fulham who was in the championship aswell contracted me , got them in the EPL and in the quarters of the EL 1 year after. Then went to Leeds who were in EPL already, was 5 years there, won 1 EPL, 3 FA cups, 1 Carling Cup and 1 Europa League :D

Ill have a go pal, im lacking in inspiration atm with FM so this may give me that. I may not stick to it, but ill start it at least :$ will update if i manage to get employed...

now lets make it clear, sunday league or professional status?

taking the Hereford job

its changed again XD make your mind up!

but ok then ill have a bash now, if hereford offer me the job ill reject it so we have differing teams

Off to a reasonable start with Hereford won 2 lost 2 in league and lost to Watford in league cup, also I have signed 4 players on loan and 4 on free transfers and also recruited a new assistant manager and a new parent club in Man Utd

Ok guys, i had no job offers at the start, i have had to keep applying for jobs and managed to snag myself one at the end of the first season with Yeovil Town who were relegated from League One.

Quite pleased at getting this job i don't mind Yeovil.

i think i will try this, i had a similar challenge on fm and got offered the macclesfield job after 1 year managed ot save them from relegation then get promoted i resigned to get the charlton job took them to the prem within 4 years and won the fa cup 2-0 against man u i then took over newcastle to win the epl and roi got them to 9th in the world ranking losing 3-1 to ghana in the wc i got offered the france job and won thee world cup andthen got bored in sometihng like 2022 :p

I'll go one better. Started with Sunday League experience, 1st December taken a job at Havant & Waterlooville, 20th in the BSS. Budget £0, no adjustments available, board says they can't give me any funds, both first and second choice keepers out with long term injuries and a devastatingly demoralised squad that had just lost 6 in a row.

Easy, eh?

I have a similar situation with Yeovil, there in debt, i have no transfer budget, i have a wage budget of 19k and spending 21k on wages already. the whole teams morale is very poor because of getting relegated, a bit of an up hill task ahead i think. But ye good luck mate, that is a lovely situation XD
