Can't change transfer status?

The story begins at the end of 10/11 season.I was with Reading and won the championship.Before the 11/12 season starts.Simon Church hands in transfer request.So I gave him.But he'd never left.He just spend 11/12 season with Rangers on loan.After his loan finished,i decided to remove him from transfer list.But the option greyed out,and he said he doesn't wanna leave the club.Any solution for this?I've offered new contract but his not interested.

this will be due to church still wanting out i think if he's not interested in a new contract and until you get a news item saying he has decided to stay then i think it will stay as it is :S

i think you have to wait for him to ask to be removed from the list, if a player requests to be listed only he can decide if he comes off it again
