With the almost absurd news of my beloved Rovers trying to sign Ronaldinho and Beckham in the Jan transfer window emerging, My poor mind boggles...It's been 8 long years since Blackburn lifted the elusive prize, still won by only 4 teams, The Premier Leaue title, the days of joy my young teenage life were filled with were truly my greatest childhood memories....But the fun didnt last long...disaster in the champions league ensued, We saw the greatest ever in-team fight between Batty and Le Saux and the goalscoring titan Alan Shearer outplayed by Mike Newell....two terrible seasons later Kidd and Hodgson's managerial ineptness left us out of the elite...and relegated. Thankn god for Souness who helped us back home and into Europe shortly after...Hughes followed and the going was good if not grreat, Europe cant ever be sniffed at! but a serious of managerial changes leaves us were we are today, Scrappy dog-end mid table and (sort of) safety and the guarante's of more Premier League action. Now Venkys appear and give us a dawn of new hope, Big-Money and Big Ideas...Im unsure whether I prefer the dreams or the mid-table obscurity...after all, obscurity is better for my nerves.

So far they seem to be a ridiculous set of owners. If the Ronaldinho bid is a statement of intent, let's hope they follow through and actually buy some players.

It is bordering on an absolute travesty.....considering they said we'd only have 5million in the January transfer window and now "money is not the problem" according to the official statement about Jan transfers. Lies and sackings and genral incompetence, and its only just begun!
