Athletico reject Chelsea mega bid for Aguero and Godin

Chelsea have had a £52m bid for Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero and defender Diego Godin rejected. Real Madrid's £39m bid for Argentine Aguero was also recently rejected.
"Atletico have said no to the two offers because they believe in these two players," said majority shareholder Miguel Angel Gil.
Argentina international Aguero, 22, has scored seven league goals this season, while Uruguay international Godin, 24, has won 43 caps

Wow, Roman really does know how to shut all the critics up.

was wondering when chelsea would finally bid for aguero... after 3 years

I swear Aguero's release clause is 52 million?

Could be a deal thats done in the summer then insted. Aguero has stated he would like to join Chelsea. And another thing, remember Maradonna saying he wants to move to London... Maybe there is somthing in this then??

Not like they're accepted :p

I mean as in having money to spend. Most people and even alot of Chelsea fans including me thought he would limit the spending. It seems as if he is going for one big blowout before the Fifa rules come into play.

Holy fishsticks that is a huge wodge of cash.

Does the fact he bidded for Godin too mean that Luiz deal may not be as close to completion as we all thought?

Cue BBC Bot posting the same thread in a few minutes

actually his min fee release clause was lowered to £38 million when he signed a new bumper contract

Luiz's work permit hearing is tomorrow so their is not much else we can do at the moment.

So how could they reject the £39m bid from Real then?
