The brand new Nintendo 3DS is being released on March 25th, 2011. Anybody getting it?

I've pre-ordered it along with Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 (it was between that or Rayman) and with it getting £60 worth of accessories/vouchers free. Along with that, I've pre-ordered Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (best game ever on the Nintendo 64, no question) from Amazon but isn't out until early June.

I seriously can't wait to get it, would be a nice early birthday present too

Apparently Japanese people are complaining that it causes eye strain after 5 minutes of play with 3D turned on.

I still have my original DS :wub: but I doubt I will get this tbh. I have never played by DS obsessively really, though if I see good reviews and games I like on I will consider it. Recently starting playing my DS more due to me reliving the childhood slightly by playing pokemon soul silver :wub::wub:

I had the original as it was released over here exactly a month before my birthday, and after about a year I dropped it and it never worked again :'( I regularly play my brother's DS Lite, mainly Mario Kart or Zelda :$ just can't wait to get this!

I did play mario kart a fairly large amount but there is only so much you can play the same maps over and over again

Dont know how true this is but someone at my school told me that you need to hold it perfectly still and straight for it to be 3D otherwise it just goes all blury?? anyone know how true this is?

They do look pretty slick. I have a Nintendo DS Lite but honestly wouldn't have got it if it wasn't so simple to download games for.

I'm still not a fan of touch screens, especially touchscreens that need a stylus to be used.

Prices are varying at the moment - cheapest I've found is Amazon.co.uk - they have it at £187.00 pre-order; got mine from Argos.co.uk - £229.99 but that comes with £60 worth of accessories for free and £30 Argos game and accessory vouchers free too.

Not sure, haven't heard anything myself but I doubt they'd release something so huge (3D, not the DS itself :$) and new only to say 'Oh yeah, but you have to play it on a table'. We'll see though.
