Brazilian striker Adriano has parted company with AS Roma by mutual consent after a disastrous seven months in which he played just five games in the Italian Serie A.

Despite being 29, if Adriano could sort out his fitness problems and conqour his drinking habbits, I reckon he could still do a job for a team in the Premier League. I expect he'd go back to Brazil though.

Didn't he say that he'd already agreed to go back to Brazil at the end of this season?

Sure there's a thread on it somewhere!

A wasted talent IMO , could have been a very good player if his off-field activities didn't let him down.

LOL, didn't he win the Golden Spoon of the Serie A before Christmas :p

Yeah he gave a promise to Flamengo fans I think.

If he sorted out his attitude and work ethic he could have been a top, top striker. Wasted his own talent.

Was a great player. Ah the days of his epic shooting power on PES 6
he should go back to Brazil tbf

I remember when he was linked with Man City in January 2008 (when we had Sven). He's just flopped since, I'm happy Sven didn't make him a signing of Man City.

PES6 Adriano and Roberto Carlos up front > Messi Ronaldo Villa Torres Drogba partnership.

he had the world at his feet but wasted it
would love to see him regain the form that made him one of Brazils best strikers
it is a real shame when a talented player like Adriano ruins his career

He did indeed and it apparently was the 2nd time he has won it.

Huge waste of talent, could have been one of the best strikers to grace the game with his pace, strengh and can opnening left peg but the playboy lifestyle was too much of a temptation for him.

Same could be said for Ronaldinho.

Whadafa, Ronaldinho was one of the best players ever - in now way comparable to Adriano.

Totally agree with you there .
Ronaldinho was one of the best players of the last decade

ronaldinho had his time in the spotlight at barca
adriano on the other hand never reached such heights even though he had all the ability too

Liked him a lot when he won Copa America on his own. I think it was after he lost his father who was very close to him, his decline started. Perfect example of wasted talented. Shame really. He was one the best talents in the early 2000s.
