Manchester United winger Nani says Jamie Carragher's challenge which left him with a gashed leg was "not football".

What Carragher did was discusting, anyone would of been hurt, did u see how high carragher went in on his leg, dispicable. in the words of the famoud stretford end! "you scouse basterd!" LOL.

It was a disgraceful challenge and well deserving of a straight red.

Nani's problem is he doesnt make things easier for himself. If he had stayed down, i think carragher would have been sent off.

Nani is a brilliant player, i just wish he would quit all the baby stuff because it annoys absolutely everybody, including man utd fans.

Sadly his acting antics havent gotten him any sympathy when he's truly been hurt from a terrible tackle

No worse than any of Roy Keane's attempted career enders.

Jog on.

Yes the tackle was bad, and 9 times out of ten would of got a red card, but I think when a player goes down, then jumps up and runs to the ref and then falls down and rolls around crying on the floor trying to get him sent off then im suprised nani didnt get booked, what he did was worse than a player simulating a card, which they get booked for nowadays, but still it was a bad tackle and warrented a red card.

To be fair to him, the ref didn't even look at Nani so his intentions were to show the ref the damage.. Maybe he was in shock after seeing the gash, I've done stuff like that before, slashed my knee open, seen the bone and ran off to find someone, making it worse. When you're in shock you do daft stuff.

Doesnt make it ok though does it?

Nobody needs reminding about Roy Keane. But comparing the too doesnt make Carraghers challenge any less of a career ender.

I think its times like these that the FA need to step in, I know theres rules that if the ref saw it and dealt with it they cant do anything but that tackle really should of warrented a red card, if nanis studs were caught in the ground then it would of been a ramsey situation again!

YAWN. Again the same Nani bashers will post some ridiculous posts..

At least Agger should come out and say "Berbatov Dived and it was not a penalty". That would make some interesting discussion.

If it had been inflicted on say Rooney, it would have been a straight red and even a citing...

as Nani has been a bit of a pre madonna in the past (as most skillful footballers around the world) he is unfortunately given himself the "Cry wolf" name tag... (which is unfortunate for him as he has overreacted in the past however, that was a disgraceful tackle and I stand behind Nani completely)

Why is he complaining about it almost 2 weeks after it happened? Yes it was a very bad tackle, but that happens in football.

This is getting boring now, Time to move on...

because we did not want to add to the media frenzy that was going on that week surrounding Fergie and the Chelsea game...

No, however when a United fan is criticising how high Carragher went in and how it was so disgusting and when I imagine his idol is probably Roy Keane as well.

Yes it was a filthy tackle. End of discussion.

but on-one has mentioned Roy Keane or tried to defend him.....? So to try and use a retired pro as a counter point is stupid and worthless.

Bad tackle, should have been a red, ref got it wrong, Nani acting like a baby as usual. Pretty much sums it up.

Yes it was a badly timed challenge, but Carra's a physical tackler, always has been. If this happened in the 80s when you were allowed to tackle, would there have been as much furore? I've seen a lot more physical tackles in those days. Some tackles look a lot worse, because some players are now so lean and have so little body mass, that even a basic challenge can send them flying.
