Hi guys,

I'd like to ask if anyone playing as Barcelona has seen any amazing regens come through the ranks or have anyone decent come in at the beginning of the season? I say this because It's 2018 on my save, and I the best player I've had come through is worth <250k at the age of 20 and has rubbish stats. I get appalling players coming through to my youth ranks EVERY year even though I can't upgrade my youth facilities or youth recruitment anymore...

Is there anything I can do??

I find this to, no mater what team I am, other teams seem to always have the better regens!

Im into my second season and i havnt had anyone good come through. Tbh they are very average and will never feature in my first team. Im not too fussed though as i got £150 mil give to me as budget! :S

i have upgrading m youth recruitments to the best possible by always get ***** regens dunno why

Hmmm, yeah. Madrid always produce EPIC ones as well, shame I can't sign any of them... :/

My United youth system has produced quite a few young talents. One already sold for £6m, another worth £7m at 20 who scored 20 in his debut season, and then a few others I'm selling for £5m+! My problem is I only ever get good strikers! I've had one right winger and a CM with potential, and then 4-5 strikers! Start of this new season I just get a new 3.5* potential striker as well. Grr!

Make sure that you have high quality youth staff as well in order to ensure that you have high quality regens. 2 or 3 veyr good youth coaches should do the trick. Anyways, you can always sign so many regens on free/compensation for their age transfers. Easy to get 3/4 in per season for under 8 million.

Yea I've noticed that the more top quality youth coaches I have then the better the regens are

I've also found that your youth coaches make a big difference. On a Dundee Utd save I bought in Alessio Cerci and Cristian Chivu as youth coaches and, alas, the next season I got an awesome Italian regen and an awesome Romanian regen. Coincidence? I think not.

You could always just save the game the day before they appear and if u dont like any of the players just try agen?

Fyi. Consider it cheating but,
The day before new regens come in (For England anyways), you are asked if you want to play in the reserve league and the u18 league. If you save on that day, you can just keep reloading, going to the next day and see if you have a good Regen or not.

Ahhh, thanks guys. I've always had an unhealthy obsession with constantly saving ALL the time, on fm or not... But yeah, I'll get some immense youth coaches in and see what happens, I'm in Feb now, so I'll see how it goes... I've bought people before at the ages of 16-18 from places like Santos and PSG, who never fail to produce beauties. Got a 20 year old striker with finishing of 20, composure 19, but his physical stats aren't amazing, he's on loan at Bayern for the season, but that's only because I didn't have any room in my squad... Now I've got rid of a few. First team next year for sure.

What if you don't work with youth coaches?
Personally, I try to contract normal coaches who can work with both, helps to keep the wages lower?
Would this affect the regens I could get? I know there's the working with youngsters attribute, is this taken into account as you guys say?
Otherwise I just get the best coaches with highest working with youngsters and get good regens (hopefully)?

Anyway, I still have some work in making my training and youth facilities better.

Yeah, that's a question, what's needed for a coach to make a good youth coach?? (Generally)

Bari U-20's produce amazing regens
