Premier League leaders Manchester United host Everton in the first of eight top flight games on Saturday, while a busy Football League programme starts with QPR looking for a win in Cardiff that will see them clinch promotion from the Championship.

Stoke playing 3 at the back. Interesting.

Old Roy continuing the Baggies steamrolling machine. Baggies 1-0 up

Spurs need a striker so badly.

pretty much. Lose today, then I think they've lost on CL.
Villa 0 Stoke 1.
Spurs equalise too
Blackpool 1 Newcastle 1

Newcastle win this and we can count ourselves as safe :) I thought we would go on and win 3-0 or so when we went one nil up, but obviously not.

Sunderland are on a real free fall. They already had to sub 2 players in 25mins.

4 points off relegation zone at the moment. If Wigan, and the other bottom teams win, they're pretty much up **** creek

That was a great, great header from Bent. Exquisite placement.

7 - Winter-signing Darren Bent has now scored more PL goals than any other Aston Villa player this season. Machine.

Evidence Sunderland were wrong to sell Bent.

Why did they have to make 2 subs?

2 injuries. It's really weird...

They have had to sub 2 players in the first half so many times recently. Im not a physio but surely there is something wrong when you get so many muscle injuries in every game?

And this time it was Bardsley and Welbeck.

Really feel bad for Sunderland. They had such a good start. If I'm not wrong they haven't won a game after they signed Muntari.

Maybe get rid of the winter transfer window. It can kill some clubs and just destroy all the hard work and effort when they lose a key player

Tell me about it - we normally have about 20% of the first team squad in the treatment room at Anfield. Of course it does help if you don't specialize in buying injury-prone players.

Remember when Newcastle had the same problems. Loads of injuries in training. Have a feeling it's either the facilities or the coaches not doing the job properly. On the other side, could be the players not doing pre-match warm ups properly
