Nani and his Long Shots

Hes a great winger but costs me so many goals as he continually blazes over the bar time and time and time again. One of his favored moves is to shoot from long range and i've asked him a few times to cut them out and even threatend transfer listing him for his bad attitude as he would'nt do as he was told and he still wont cut them out. Ive taken all his creative freedom, but hes a winger so pretty useless without it and put his long shots on rarely.
Last season he cost me the CL in the final.

I want to keep him as hes class but i've ran out of ideas on how to stop him from shooting from 25yds out every time he has the ball, wondering if you guys had any ideas.

I get this a lot with Jonas Gutierrez, despite him not having that PPM, but the Looks for Pass Rather Than Shooting PPM instead. Tried reigning in his creative freedom and making sure he's instructed to rarely take long shots... Frustrating since his finishing and long shots are terrible. Although he did score a 35 yard scream once.

same problem with in my arsenal save for pastore and song. wasteful shots, but pastore's shot are more on target.

Tell nani to cut inside and provide through balls.

He's the same on my save too, but he does score the odd wonder goal and hatrick so I don't give it too much thought.

thanks darren i will try that. just got beat 2-0 off burnley in the league cup quarter, had 7 shots and 0 on target, nani took them all.

move into channels, creative freedom just above halfway, through balls often, crossing sometimes, long shots sometimes....

He was fantastic for me in my Man Utd save, scored around 18gls and 28assists in the season, he was alot more accurate for me, why not train him to Aml so when he does cut inside he is on his stonger right foot and more likely to hit the target...

you can ask him to learn the looks for pass rather than shot and maybe place shots in the corner

i have this with Nani, occasionally he'll score a goal when needed, but the rest of the time squanders the opportunity.

my first season he scored something like 17 goals with 11 assists, second season 6 goals 4 assists.

Antonio Valencia, is on fire with something like 5 goals 8 assists in 10 appearances, but for some reason Nani is held at higher regard by the coaching staff, personally is Valencia will play like a winger/inside forward and is alot more helpful for the team its worth while.

Nani also doesnt seem very complient when asked to do training, perhaps why he doesnt pass.

like a Balotelli mind but without the idiotic personal choices.

Set his 'Long Shots' slider to 'Sometimes'. Put him on the left with Wide Settings as 'Cutting In' and he's much better.

Train his finishing, then teach him to place ball in the corner of the net and he becomes much better.
