Hey Guys, this thread is the Defensive Right voting thread for the FM-Base TOTY, to choose your winner, vote in the poll above.

The Goalkeeper Result:
Winner: Edwin Van Der Sar - 47 Votes
Runner Up: Pepe Reina - 12 Votes

It was really tight, but Van Der Sar wins.

My vote is Rafael

Due to the fact that I watched plenty of Arsenal games this season and less so of other teams, my decision might lack the necessary information to make the 'correct decision' (If there even is one), but I'd definitely go with Sagna here.

Offensively: Rafael

Defensively: Ivanovic

Overall this season: Rafael.

My vote is for Rafael although it seems that Fabio has taken his place in the team.

to be honest, the rest are ****, what about Corluka or Martin Kelly or Kaboul, Carr, O'Shea?

I would say Sagna as he has played more and made a handful of assists (even though Arsenal have been quite **** again this year) he was pretty good and consistent!

Rafael has been great, even though I am quite sure John has started more games than him.... my vote:

Sagna (as a United supporter as well)

As a Spurs fan, Kaboul, Corluka, Carr made me lol ;)

I went Sagna but I would absolutely love to have went for Micah but yet another season completely marred by injury in his career

what I am saying is I think you should put all the players (at least the 1st team starters) so people can vote fairly! just because you think that Corluka or Carr are **** does not mean everyone else will!

Yeah, I like the idea of having all the starters on the poll.

I will do that next time, which will save my time anyway :) But, Corluka or Carr wouldn't win, and our aim is to find the best, so it really doesn't matter about the lesser players.

Sagna easily. How Rafael is leading I'll never know. Also, Martin Kelly > Glen Johnson.

Carr has been better than at least 3 of the players that are up on that poll this season, so I'd call those 'lesser players'.

But yeah, try to include all the regulars when it comes to the LB poll.

Certainly agree with you here, I think Arsenal's poor season (Well, can we even call it that, a **** team finishing 3rd\4th) and Manchester United's good season has blurred people's views. But meh I'm not fussed.

Rafael was immense till he got injured. Then Fabio gradually took over. In between it was always O'Shea. Rafael was fantastic and this season he showed what a great talent he is.

Sagna has also had good season but for me Rafael just edged it. I'm bit biased maybe but I love the lad. Twins are immense..

You miss the point, if I put Corluka in there, he wouldn't win and neither will Onuoha, so it doesn't really matter, it is between Sagna, Ivanovic and Rafael really. I will use Raikan's suggestion anyway though.

Rafael has been brilliant this season, if he keeps improving at this rate, it won't be long before he's the best RB in the world; ditto for his brother.

Sigh, Pantsil, what's he doing their?

I'd say Stephen Carr myself.

No, you miss my point. You have Cuellar, Johnson and Pantsil in there, 3 players who clearly wouldn't win. So why stop there?

If you think Stephen Carr like this post.

Cos it's pointless to do anymore
