Been managing Burnley now for a while, and all of a sudden Spurs have put a £5,000,000 bid for Chris McCann.

Now I know he's not some high flying wonderkid with bags of potential, but in my eyes he's Burnleys Paul Scholes. He's always been at my side whilst others around him changed, and he is one of the last original Burnley players from the Championship days.

I know he's only going to decrease in value, and probably nobody will ever offer this much for him again, and I really want to see him stroll out for Spurs, so I can take some pride in saying that's one of my Burnley babes right there doing me proud.

It's rather sad how you get attached to some players, I'm not a bad person, I would like to see him play some Champions League games and bring home some extra money for his wife, and especially since he has a kid on the way.

...

If I do sell him, any idea who I can get as a replacement. I mean I have Joe Ledley and James McCarthy who I think would probably be able to take old McCann's place. Definitely be retiring his number if he does leave Turf Moor.

yeah, go for it. It's probably time for him to move on and you can get younger player w/ talent w/ that money.
