Why? He's on quite a big wage and he's well...*****, I reckon and Tottenham should splash out on a young understudy (but good enough to be first team) to Gomes, such as Romero (maybe less expensive player though) or De Gea (not available anymore though). Asenjo then, maybe? But yeah, never really rated him, like Hilario, I don't like him either as he's just collecting his money and not seeking first team football at a club like Blackpool or Norwich who may want him.

I agree he is consistent, but he is not spectacular or amazing, and I don't like backup keepers who don't seek first team football, when they can. I mean, Matt Gilks, can't really get first team without dropping down a division but I reckon Cudicini could get into some lower half Premier League first teams. And then, if he is really that good, he will get a chance to show everyone how good he is without just sitting on the bench at Spurs.Could not disagree more with you here pal. Carlo Cudicini is well under rated and in my opinion he has never had the chance to be a no.1 at a club. He is more consistent then Gomes. I think he is better than Gomes. Consistency is key for a goalkeeper and he always seem to be that.
Was he no.1? Well, still, if he can't get past Gomes that's doesn't show him as a class keeper does it? And if he went to a smaller club then he would probably be guaranteed it, he could make the manager promise. I mean, wouldn't Blackpool be crazy to play Kingson instead? Oh, and I admit, I didn't watch him at Chelsea, but surely he wasn't World Class? People overuse that phrase know, only players like Rooney, Gerrard, Villa, Messi and Ronaldo are World Class, not Modric or Yaya Toure, in my opinion. You what? He was Chelsea's number 1 for a while and was World Class. They then brought in Cech and he hasn't been able to get past him or Gomes. He's getting on now so why would he leave when he's not guaranteed first team football anywhere anyway.

Wasn't he eligible for England once?
Definitely one of the most underrated GK's imo.
