I am managing Lille in my 1st season, just about to start January transfer window.

I have Yohan Cabaye playing a deep playmaker role, leading the league in assists, man of the match and joint top average rating. He has had a lot of interest and has said he'd consider moving.

The main player i want to keep hold of is Eden Hazard, and he recommended i signed Steven Defour, who has better mental and physical stats than Cabaye. If i signed Defour would Hazard be happier to stay?

But then Cabaye has been at Lille his entire career and he is French.

Need some help deciding what to do!!!

If you can afford it there's no harm in having both Cabaye and Defour. If Defour plays well and Cabaye wants to leave then you already have a replacement and if it helps Hazard stay then even better.

That is what I would do anyway.

Both. But definitely get Defour. He's solid. I always buy him when I'm playing with a big team.

ur choice mate, but dont ruin his morale if u disagree about his transfer moving.

say like, 'he important develpoment of the club, blah...' like that.

otherwise buy defour is that case and sell cabaye at the right price.

I would buy Defour. If you can keep Cabaye, great. If not, Defour's just as good if not better imo.
