Home-grown status bug not fixed by patch 11.3?

I have installed the latest patch which purportedly fixes the HG status issue for the Champions League. However, it still doesn't seem to work as my 0-21 players are not considered HG in the registration.

Anyone gotten this issue fixed? If so, how did you do it?

Did you start a new save or did you continue your game after u installed?

I started a new save and it also didn't work. Now I'm in 2019 and I'm having to leave players out of my CL squad...

Hmm i don't know then.
But you have to start a new save when you install the patch for the changes to work

Yeah I definitely started a new game as I had Suarez and Carroll in my Liverpool team at the start. Do you have the disk version or the online downloaded version? Maybe they screwed the patch up for the latter (which I'm running).

This HG thing is really annoying as you can't really test it until you get deep into the game and stopping now would be so demoralising. Only one more title to pass Alex Ferguson in the HoF... anyone else managed to solve this issue?

Try to holiday for a day when it asks for squad registration, hopefully your assistant manager should sort it out.

Thanks ReadingFCFan - I know that workaround but it still won't solve the bug and make some of my best players eligible for HG status.

I'm just hoping to get the bug fixed. Plus I've read the patch notes - it says the bug fixes should work on saved games too, but it doesn't even though I've reinstalled multiple times.

If you really really want them to be HG and can't find a solution you can use FMRTE..
