TV Rights: How are they calculated?

So I've got one save with Pomezia in the Serie A and another with FC Twente in the Eredivisie. With FC Twente I'm now the top ranked team in the world and the Eredivisie is the 2nd best competition. With Pomezia I'm number 26 in the world and the Serie A is ranked 5th. However, in the Eredivisie the winner gets maybe 5 million in TV rights but the winner in the Serie A gets 60 million.

So my question is, how is the money calculated? I guess the position and economy of a country is far less important than the amount of inhabitants. Or am I missing something?

As far as I know the money you receive for competing in a competition doesn't change with the reputation of the league (probably should though) The money you do receive is a reflection of what clubs in that league get in real life, I may be wrong though!

I think it relies more on the reputation of the league
