Career of the Greatest Fullback ever, well worth a watch. Watching this video made me feel sad that I was not blessed to watch him play in the early 90s.

It was great to see Ronaldo and Zidane saying they tried to attack from other side as Maldini was unbeatable. IMO thats th greatest compliment any defender can get.

Long Live Maldini. Hopefully you will be back as a Manager of Milan.

There is no one like him, talent, dedication, simplicity. He was just out of this world and rare human being that he was not arrogant despite being arguable THE best defender and comfortable THE BEST FULL BACK ever..

Also would like to add he was the most complete defender I have ever seen. One of the best tackler ever, his first touch was so good that even Striker/Winger would have been proud off. His dribbling ability put many top wingers to shame.

Maybe it would be wrong to call him most complete defender, he was the most complete footballer.

Hopefully his kids will be as good as him and also as elegant as him.

Still, only a matter of time before Christian Maldini comes through the youth ranks to take the mantle of the Maldinis for Milan. I especially like the way they've retired the 3 shirt, apart from for a Maldini.

It's huge compliment if players like Ronaldo ( the Real Ronaldo ) and Zidane say that when they went against Milan theyd stick to left side just to avoid Maldini. I really hope his son's will be half as good players as he was. Christian Maldini future il capitano. After Thiago Silva of course.

I'm happy that my uncle made me Milan fan from birth and I had chance to see them play in late 80's and 90's.
