Bolton captain Kevin Davies apologises to Tom Cleverley after his challenge leaves the Manchester United midfielder with ligament damage.

My view on him has just vastly increased.

I read somewhere he made 121 fouls last season, how does he do that?

This is how this thread will go.

Bolton fans come on and defend tackle/ try to avert attention to fact he apologised, Man Utd fans come on and repeatedly state how horrible a tackle it was. Then one Man United/ Bolton fan reads this exact post and thinks 'THAT GUY CANT TELL ME WHAT TO DO' and states that they hold the opposite view (they dont), and then it breaks out into an argument of either Bolton Vs Man United or this tackle(r) Vs that tackle(r).

This is the fmbase way.

Good on him. Pathetic United fans had a go at his wife. Mongs. Why abuse his wife for something that happened on pitch. Also it was not Cleverley's facebook page and was confirmed by United press itseems..

Good solid thinking there. let's abuse his wife. ******* idiots

To be fair, he didn't go studs up in the challenge. I hate how there is so much hate over this incident. Good on him for apologising.

Also, to anybody who comes in here to bash Davies, rewind to Evans tackle on Holden in (what i do believe was) the last time ManU played Bolton. Karma is a *****, yes?

It was a bad tackle but he said he was sorry so thats the end of it.

50/50 challenge, tackle from behind. Unnecessary comment unless to generate pointless argument.

IIRC, studs were raised in the Evans tackle. Davies came in from behind, slid his feet on the ground. No one would have cared about Davies tackle, if he hadn't have injured Cleverly.

I can say that Evans' intention was to get the ball in a 50/50 challenge albeit going in with studs up and Holden was unlucky to be caught in it while Davies were going for the ball from behind, meaning that he has little to no chance of getting the ball at all. Evans received a straight red card for his challenge while Davies received none, and he went on and made a few more reckless challenge throughout the game. Davies' challenges on Nani and Evra weren't anywhere near a clean tackle.

And my main point is that your provocation by saying Cleverley's injury is an act of karma was uncalled for and totally unnecessary, that's all.
