for defensive tactics, you will need to give up your wide players and play with a a defensive midfielder or two. And I suggest counter, not defensive strategy. I had great success with a 4132 tactic fluid, counter, with short passing, more disciplined, more cautious, man marking, more pressing, more roaming and player duties and roles on default. I posted that tactic to download section about a week ago, but for some reason it hasn't showed up yet.
