Hello.
I am managing AC Milan. Season 2012/2013 is about to start and i've got a decent budget of 15-20m euros (I am able to boost it with 5-10m by selling not needed back-up player.)

We all do know Alessandro Nesta, a great player. I love him, I admire him, but he has got old and my squad can't rely on him anymore. As title says, I am looking for his heir, a good centre-back,
who would actually make an awesome partnership with the best centre-back in world, Thiago Silva.
I was thinking about Davide Astori, who in my opinion a prety good alternative , but I didn't have the funds needed to sign him in January 2012, so he singed for Juventus. (10m)

Can you help me forum?

Nicolas Otamendi - Fc Porto
Christopher Samba - Blackburn
Davide Astori - Cagliari
Paulo Cannavaro - Napoli
Mario Fernandes - Gremio
Rever - Botafogo
Jan Vertoghen - Ajax
Stephane Mbia - OM
Mamadou Sakho - PSG
Vincent Kompany - City
Stefan Reinartz - Leverkusen
Guilermo Burdisso - Arsenal Di Sarandi
Benedikt Howedes - Schalke
Daniel Agger - Liverpool
Sebastian Coates - Liverpool
Kader Mangane - Stade Rennais

Roderick Miranda, Senah Mango, Neuton, Prestia are also good young players for the future :) hope that helps!

Rafael Toloi from Goias and Ezequiel Munoz from Palermo are pretty good too (Raikan seems to have covered it all)

Isn't Cannavaro a bit old though? :p

Personally i highly recommend Dante from Gladbach. Has a slight issue with acceleration and concentration (8 each) but his other mental and physical stats seem to compensate well enough when i use him. Signed him in 2nd season for my Fiorentina side and has picked up a lowly 6 yellows in about 30 games so he doesnt make rash challenges and has a tally of 8 goals so can also be a set piece threat. To top it off he doesnt cost an arm and a leg unlike similar, slightly younger players as i got him for a bargain of 5.75m.

If he isn't your cup of tea and you don't mind a bedding in period, you could also try Guiseppe Belluschi from Catania who develops well and has the pace to cover RB when needed. Again won't cost an arm and a leg and i also got him for a lowly 2.8m

If you want a developing talent look at Guiseppe Prestia (palermo) and Michele Camporese (Fiorentina)

Dante has a lot of flair and low concentration or decisions (cant remember exactly) for a cb, he is decent no doubt but I would not get him!

Naldo is also a good defender :)

No one will ever match Nesta's elegance :) in my save i'm going to have him going for as long as possible Paolo Maldini style :D

let nesta play for how long he can but just get a replacement too at the same time.

Ryan Shawcross, absolute beast in my save. Lethal at set pieces too!
Average rating of 7.39 in 37 games so far!
