I play 2 up front and currently have a choice of Hernandez as a poacher, Leandro target man or Rooney as Complete Forward. Rooney is nearing his 30s so want to inject some young blood into my forward line. I'm thinking of getting Neymar and Niang but from what I read both play best as poachers, which would leave me with 3 poachers and a target man once Rooney departs. Would this work? or am I better off looking at other options up front?

I use two poachers at the moment :) Damiao should be more of a complete forward though!

it all depends on the settings you give them, but Neymar can be used as a Treq too which is sort of similar to a Dlf without the defensive responsibilities and if you feel that you need a little more defence, just employ a better defensive cm...

I would look at Thomas Muller if I were you to replace Rooney :) he is fantastic

Personally I play a poacher either on his own or I partner him with a DLF/TM/CF, never tried two poachers, I would imagine that if you had a very attacking and good midfield then it could work but I generally play with rubbish teams. :p

Thanks for the info.

I agree with Damiao but he's scored something like 60-70 goals in 2 seasons for me as a tm so I'm weary of changing it.

I'm a big fan of Muller and would rather have him than Neymar but I imagine he would be hard to tempt away from Bayern?

I always thought if you play two people with the same role, they'd get in each others way lol.

I use Kolbeinn Sigdorsson and Mounir El Hamdoui, the only difference is I have Hamdoui dropping deep to get the ball (run from deep sometimes)

with a good midfield playing in clever balls they can be quite devastating!

Do not click if you are following my story :) cheers!

If you have 2 poachers i have noticed you should have a little difference in mentality .1 Should as raikan said move back to get the ball .But there should also be a difference in mentality .1 3 clicks in attack more then the othere .And both should have through balls oftern .Youll see alot of passing between these 2 where 1 will run up front until he gets to the Gk and the will pass it to the other .This is how it worked for me in 2011 when i start my man city game ill try it and see if it works the same on 2012

Hi my front 2 are Niang and Neymar however I play Neymar as a trequartista as he sets up a **** of alot more goals then he does a poacher. I belive that thats his perfect role not a poacher

Im currently playing two poachers up front with FC Twente

I have

Quintero and Welbeck...I was lucky enough to get Welbeck loaned from Man U :D

And really, this two guys are super fast. Completely destroys slow defenders...Quintero scored 4 goals just by making him a target man and run on to ball with pass into space shout. Welbeck scored a hatrick against Dynamo Kyiv...BEAST!
I would love to show pictures but Im new to this game and I dont know how to take pictures hahahaha...Help please? :) Thanks.
