Consistancy Question - About Playing lower teams.

Hi all and first off merry christmas.

Sorry in advance if this already has a Thread, but i couldnt find anything.

Ae you may be aware i have released some tactics recently to share my work with people who enjoy Fm, I dont normaly do this but I require abit of help.

I am currently managing liverpool in the EPL didnt make many trasnfers and i am doing really really well with my Simple tactic i created and which i plan to Release around new year.

My Question is that I am Finding it very difficult to play against lower reputation teams

So far this season i have beaten all the top teams and very comfortable results too.

But i have had these results too

Liverpool 1 - 2 Fulham
Liverpool 1 - 1 Sunderland
Liverpool 0 - 2 Wigan
Liverpool 1 - 1 Swansea

then i go on to win

Liverpool 4 - 1 Man Utd
Liverpool 3 - 0 Arsenal
Liverpool 4 - 2 Man city
Liverpool 2 - 0 Chelsea
Liverpool 2 - 1 Spurs

I let in goals between 1 - 15 minutes the most
placed Shots is more common with the Goals i let in.
Pass is the most common Assist with the Goals i let in

my squad is set up like

GK - Reina
DR - Johnson
DC - Coates
DC - Agger
DL - Enrique
MC - Lucas
MC - Adam
AML - Willian
AMR - Gerrard
ST - Carrol
ST - Suarez

The Defence isnt exactly solid but its good enough. I tend to over power teams and score more then them.

Any help out there would be nice, Im looking to get any Info on how to Keep the team focused when playing Smaller teams.

Maybe the lower/weaker clubs sit back deeper and go defensive and just absorb pressure, then launch a counter attack perhaps?

I have noticed this, The games where the result doesnt go my way, i am the dominant team, with around 60% possetion and lots more chances, How can you counter a counter.

Admittedly, I've not tried to counter it. But I was blessed with a very strong squad in my old save, so I just switched to clearing the ball to the flanks, ran at the defence and overloaded, added with pushing higher. Think it'll also depend on the players attributes too-I was just lucky.

How to counter a counter ? There's few ways:
1. Drop deeper:
- reduce your def line to low; Problems : Lower possesion, Solution: Good ball winning midfielder
2. Push very high and play offside
- Increase your def line to very high and check offside; Problems : If offside trap doesn't work, opp player will have CCC, Solution: Use fast defenders and sweeper keeper.
3. Drop a little lower and reduce your mentality (playing ment.)
- Reduce your def line a bit, change your mentality to balanced or counter; Problems : Low chance creation rate per game, Soluton: Use Anchor man or Ball winning midfielder to regain possesion and increase tempo + Direct passing.
