Dale Faulkner - 23 - English / Canadian

Faulkner starts off as a free agent as he has just recovered from a neck injury that was sustained during a rugby match. He has decided that his rugby days are over and decides to move back to England to pursue his football career. Once back he attends many trial days and sends his CV out to clubs around the nation. A few clubs have already got back to him, Bristol City, Carlisle, Millwall, and Sheffield Wednesday. Only time will tell which club he decides to sign with. After much deliberation Faulkner signs with Carlisle, a promise of first team football and with a club with much better facilities that the other npower league 1 teams it felt like a good fit. Now for his first season as a professional football player.

Since no one has posted commenting that they want to be a part of this - I am going to do half season saves that way there's options for people (players) to join the thread!

I will post the stats like so - and then have a quick description about their adventure. Please post any feed back! As a note - This is 1.1 of Danny's database. If you signed up for his database please post your name (on the database) and I will begin to follow their journey too.

Player: Dale Faulkner
Year / month: 2012 / Jan

Nationality: English / Canadian

Faulkner's contract had been signed and he was looking forward to getting some time in on the training ground and getting to know the players around him. The coach had indicated that he is going to be an important piece to Carlisle's success this season. They were looking for him to anchor the midfield and help them in both areas of the field. Although Faulkner's defining attribute are free kicks they'll be looking for him to dictate tempo as well. There will be much practice around free kicks and utilizing this new asset. After 5 months at the club Faulkner has done well to hold down a regular place within the squad. He has been played mostly as the Attacking midfielder, on a bit of a rotation system. It would appear that Canada has approached Dale to play for the national team, Dale has other idea's and will not think about a call up from anyone else other than England - A bit unwise but we shall see how this career decision weighs on him in the future.

He made 17 appearances for Bury scoring 3 goals and providing one assist with an average rating of 6.66 (pretty devious Danny ;))

In Feb. The club is holding onto the 6th and last playoff spot. 1 point ahead of 7th and only 5 points behind 2nd place. It's looking good for Turland at the moment!

Although Robinson has a good relationship with the San Marino manager Turland has been reluctant to call him up to the first team and Robinson has spent his entire time with the u20's. He has been far from impressive for the u20's however playing 24 games and only bagging 6 with an average rating of 6.77. He is still young and has nothing but time to improve.

Player: Steven Murphy
Club(s): Liverpool
Year / month: 2012 / Feb
Age: 15
Nationality: Republic of Ireland
Appearances (Total): 5
Goals: 1
Assists: 0
Average Rating: 6.70
Time injured: 3 weeks (could be more currently Injured)

Murphy has broken into the Liverpool first team on 5 occasions and has scored a goal in the premier league. The majority of his time has been spent with the u18 squad where he has obviously impressed Kenny Dagleish. He's played 31 games with the u18's and has bagged 14 goals boasting an impressive 7.08 average rating. There are rumours that he won't remain at Liverpool once his current contract expires as he seems to be looking to test his skills else where. Although there has been no real interest shown from other clubs it seems to be media speculation. Murphy has been labelled as a similar style of player to Andy Carroll and is held in high regard within the Liverpool camp as a hot prospect for the future.

Life is good for Muniain at Bayern the club is performing wonderfully in the league they are set to play Valencia in the first round knockout of the Champions League after finishing second in Group B behind A.C Milan. They lost to HSV in the quarter finals of the German Cup. Joseba has been pretty shrewd in the transfer market spending 10 million bringing in Milan Badelj from Diamo for 4.1mil, Vitali Radzionau from BATE for 1.8mil, and lastly Luiz Adriano from Shakhtar for 4.2mil. Sending two youngsters out on loan.

-Editors note:

I love that Munian has 166 caps and 49 goals before the age of 26.

Please post your feed back on format and any other information you'd like to see!

LOL. I forgot to change his age to 33. He had those caps at 33 in an old BaP and the name stuck.
Like the format. Nice to see Joseba being thrifty too :)

Joseba, the *******.

Keep an eye on Daniella Contra, and Gaizka Alonso. Managers at Sevilla and Bury, respectively.

Miss Contra has had a good start to her Managerial career, she has successfully guided Sevilla into the second round knockout of the Europa cup and take a 1-0 lead to their home tie and second leg against Villarreal. They collected 16 points to win group E. As it seems, the sterotype about women shopping extends to Daniella as she has spent 19.5 million thus far on transfers. She has signed; Toby Alderweireld (4.4mil) Ruben Yttergard Jenssen (2.9mil) Ari (Loan: 850K) Alberto Lora (8.5mil - I bet he looks good in his training gear ehh Daniella ;);)) Jelle Vossen (2.3mil) and Niki Zimling (575K) - On the flip side she has sold Emiliano Armenteros (500K) Diego Perotti (3.6mil) and let Dani Jimenez, Piotr Trochowski out on loan while sending Tom De Mul home with no lunch. Not too difficult to see why Danny Newton jumped on the chance to leave Bury and play for Manchester United. Gaizka has done a good job with a relatively poor Bury squad. They suffer from severe inconsistency and barely string together results. Q.P.R dumped them out of the F.A cup in the 3rd round. Accrington knocked them out of the Johnstones Paint Trophy in the 2nd round and finally Blackburn knocked them out of the Carling cup in the 3rd round. Despite a positive pre season not much has gone well for Bury nor Gaizka.

i'm liking the updates so far, and just so you know it's Sammarinese. hopefully Robinson will improve and get a few appearances before the season is over and done with.

^ He didn't play at all in the first team in the 2011/2012 season.

Player: Dale Faulkner

Faulkner has become an integral piece to Carlisle, he recently signed a new two year contract indicating that he is a key member of the squad. Due to the rise in status he has become under much scrutiny from the Carlisle faithful and many pundits look to his play when Carlisle lose. Carlisle are having a mediocre season and find them selves in 16th near the end of January.

Player: Danny Newton
Year / month: 2013 / Jan
Age: 19
Club(s): Manchester United / Sunderland
Nationality: English
Appearances (Total): 20
Goals: 6
Assists: 1
Average Rating: 7.02
Time injured: 1 month 2 weeks

Danny has been sent to the Championship side Sunderland on a season long loan. Manchester United are hoping that the young lad will get some playing time and develop in the championship. He's following in the footsteps of another young Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck. He's only managed to bagged 6 goals so far in the championship with Sunderland while playing 20 times. He went through a tough goalless drought not scoring for over 11 hours of competitive football. Recent performances have brought on praise from manager Simon Grayson, who was the Manager at Leeds before getting fired at Christmas time. Newton has been slowly making a name for himself on the international stage as he has picked up 8 caps and scored 3 goals at the u21 level.

Player: Chris Robinson

Age: 15
Club(s): San Marino / Cesena
Nationality: British Virgin Islands
Appearances (Total): 1
Goals: 0
Assists: 0
Average Rating: 6.70
Time injured: 3 months 1 week 2 days

Robinson started off the 2012 season by signing a new contract ... with Cesena. He was set to join up with his new club in January. While still with San Marino he dislocated his shoulder during his first senior appearance. Was out for 2 months with that injury and publicly thanked his manager Sam Turland for being supportive and standing by Robinson during his lengthy sideline visit. Robinson became the youngest ever San Marino player to play in a senior match being 15 years old and 71 days, this also is now the Serie C2/A record as well. Since joined Cesena he has been given u20 duties, he has yet to make an appearance in a Cesena jersey though. Robinson believes that he will become good enough to play for Italy and has rejected the notion of playing for the British Virgin Island, he has 1799 days before he'll be eligible for an Italian call up though.

Player: Stephen Murphy
Year / month: 2013 / Jan
Age: 16
Club(s): Liverpool
Nationality: Republic of Ireland
Appearances (Total): 1
Goals: 0
Assists: 0
Average Rating: 0 (?)
Time injured:

Murphy has only seen limited first team action this season after his 10 game 4 goal experience from 2011/2012 - Lack of injuries to the first team strikers have limited his chances. He has played 25 games for the u18 squad scoring 7 goals. His future at Liverpool is still in the balance as he is considering leaving for more first team chances. I was surprised Liverpool didn't send the young lad out on loan this season, shows you that they really aim to protect their youth talent. On the international stage Stephen has been impressive for the Republic of Ireland u21 squad stepping up and scoring 2 goals in 9 games. He is learning from an experienced member of the Liverpool squad - who that player is I do not know. He is still being compared to Andy Carroll by his coaches and manager.

Finishing 4th in La Liga gives Sevilla a birth to the European Champions League! Wonderful achievement for Daniella. Selling off Romaric gave her plenty of room to navigate the transfer market however, not much action done there. A bit of an expense to sign Gago for 3.3mil but it appeared to work out as he played well and was put into Sevilla's top 11. Finishing 29 points behind Barcelona shows the massive quality gap that remains in the Spanish first Division, Will Contra help Sevilla overcome that?

Alonso has been ruthless in the transfer window bringing in man after man! Sending away 13 players shows that there is a bit of a revolving door policy at Bury. The mediocre finish to the season will leave many Bury fans wondering if this process is the way to run the club. Alonso has the full backing of the board though they want him to succeed and believe they have the right man at the club. Alonso keeps dumbfounding the pundits though as they consistantly tout Bury to be relegated, so finishing 14th can be seen as an achievement for the club and Alonso.

A solid victory in the Bundesliga gives the top German squad another crack at the Champions league after succumbing to a loss to the eventual winners Barcelona (who beat Manchester United 1-0 in the finals). A untimely loss to Dortmund stunted their progress in the league as they went on a 3 game slide (4 including the loss to Dortmund) The transfer market was very active for Muniain as he spent 31mil on bringing in talent this season. The signing of Gyan seems to be a nice piece of work for him as he (gyan) had a wonderful scoring record for the club, mostly coming off the bench to score a few late goals. Muniain let a lot of young players go for free before the season got underway, clearly showing his stern policy on playing standards, many of these young players found clubs very quickly a number became first team slots within lower league teams. Muniain wasn't ready to let these mediocre players waste their time in the youth system.

Turland parted ways with his best youth talent in the January window to much dismay to many of the fans who were disappointed not to see this young player become a consistant starter. Taking the 40K was the best option for the struggling (Financially) San Marino club. Multiple losses early in the season meant that it would be hard for the San Marino club to mount a serious title challenge. They will definately need to have a good season to reach the media prediction of 2nd. Theres love for Turland all around the nation as they wait with eager anticipation for the next season.
