I had to wipe everything off my computer and start all over again thanks to a virus or two. So once I had done that, I got Steam back and installed Football Manager and when I go to play it begins to install DirectX and then comes up with the error message "Football Manager 2012 12.2.2f259383 has stopped working" and I have to close the program.

It is enraging beyond all belief. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times and still get the same, it has never happened before. I've searched the net and can't seem to find anything helpful. Any assistance would be hugely appreciated, I'm going out of my mind here!!

Here's a screen shot of the error message as well.

This is getting ******* ridiculous now. I ****** around with stuff for days and eventually got it to launch Football Manager. Except now, it doesn't even make it as far as the ****** menu screen before it just crashes. No error messages or anything, just closes, back to the desktop and that's it.

Well the problem first began with Steam trying to install DirectX, that is when the error message from my original post came up. So I attempted to install it myself from the net instead of the game doing it, don't know if that was right or not, I'm no computer expert at all.

Anyway, when attempting to install it myself it brought up a brand new error message. So I googled that, followed some more instructions and eventually got it installed. This time football manager would open but not make it to the menu screen, like I said above.

Then I remembered the other day I had attempted to download some drivers from NVIDIA's site in case it was something to do with that but I had once again just got another irritating, nonsensical error message again. This is why it got so frustrating, everything I was trying just ended with error messages!!

So anyway, I figured if I had finally managed to install DirectX, maybe the NVIDIA drivers would now install. They did and I'm finally playing footy manager again!

If only most people would actually acceot thats its probably something to do with their system rather than SI making a shoddy game.
