Hello,

I'm now in the 2015/16 season and have won the premiership three times, champions league once, europa league once (finished third in the champions league

whoops) won the fa cup twice and league cup once, so reasonably successful. But I only now have become increasingly concerned about the debt question as right now its at 516 million pounds. I signed luka modric and m'villa in the first season for around 30 million each, in hindsight maybe not the smartest decision, however I have never put to great of a burden on the club

But i was curious has anyone has successfully eliminated the debt?

Last summer I signed quite a few good youngsters, and have been bringing a couple really talented youngsters through the academy that it has put me in a position where I could confidently sell modric, nani, and maybe one more first team player and put a significant portion of their wages and fees towards the debt. Is this a good idea? any ideas how i could go about decreasing the debt? have any of you guys had any success?

Thank you, Joey

on FM11 a lot of people apparantly managed to clear the debt by around 2018. The debt on fm12 though doesnt reflect the true amount irl as the debt of the club apparantly is only around £286million (not sure how accurate that is tho)

I have a save in which the debt was cleared in the 2017/18 season so it seems you are nearly there just hang on a bit more.

Buy selling off people and keep doing well by winning silverwave and you can get it off. Although if you keep buying people for 30 million you might take you some more time.

hi thanks guys,

- @jackripper: well the debt is split up in to two loans one at 266 and the other 250, so im not sure if thats what you mean.

- @elbonf: how did you clear the debt off? were you still spend money on players?

- @Choices: ya thats what im slowly realising, luckily i brought in quite a few "hot prospects" that it is making my job a bit easier...
