Just started a new career with Liverpool as I have some free time and I haven't played in a while. In this game I want to go back to basics and try and produce as much talent as possible, but I will also buy players.

I Started and the first thing i did was sort out the squad; i put jones in reserves with Aurelio and put Robinson and Flanagan in the first team. After doing this i felt i needed a young goal keeper, central midfielders and a young striker to add some potential to the team.I have sold Jones and Aurelio and gave spearing a free transfer. this gave me a transfer budget of 15mil after asking for more wages and moving the slider all the way to the right. In this save I will be buying all my players with cash up front as I feel it is more realistic and makes it harder. Before buying anyone i sorted out the squad statuses, fired and hired alot of staff and sorted out the training so they are all now 4-5 stars, removed affiliated clubs apart from nacional (will make some new ones soon), promoted some youngsters to the reserves and arranged some friendlies.

The first person i bought was Branescu from Juventus for £2.5mil (3.5 star potential) then i bought Allen from Swansea for £6.5mil (3.5 star potential) and finally Zaha from Palace for £6.5m (4 star potential). after these and maybe a few in January and start of next season i will only be selling for a few years as i will specialise on the youths and spending money on training facilities and stuff.

After these signings my squad is GK: Reina, Doni and Branescu RB: Johnson and Flanagan LB: Enrique and Robinson CB: Agger, Skrtel, Coates, Kelly and Carragher DM: Lucas CM: Allen, Henderson, Adam and Shelvey AM: Gerrard RW: Kuyt and Maxi LW: Downing and Bellamy ST: Suarez, Carroll and Zaha.

Over the first 2 years i will selll doni, cole, aquilani, Kuyt and Maxi. Then i will buy a RW (Probably Hoilett) and introduce Sterling, Move Carragher to coaching and introduce Wilson and then sell bellamy and introduce any LW youth from intake or buy one. After this i will not buy anyone for a few seasons and spend money on upgrades for facilities.

After doing all of this i set up my first tactics (4-2-3-1) it is attacking but has a solid defense with Reina in goal. With this tactic i hope to achieve the target i set with the board and finish in the top 4. The squad will get better over time as most players have not reached there full potential yet.

This is the tactic i will use over the first season although i may tweak a few things. It did look shaky in pre-season but has done well in the first few games in the premier league against Sunderland beating them 1-0 and beating Arsenal 2-1 away.

Update 1

It is going well so far; i am especially please with the development of players. Such as Flanagan, Robinson, Sterling and Branescu.

In the league i have been fairly consistent especially against the larger teams such as beating Arsenal and Manchester Unites. I have lost one league game so far against Stoke. They played well were solid at the back and me and my team got complacent after good form.

I am 3rd in the premier league at the moment with a game in hand. I will go top if i win the game in hand but i don' expect to be staying there. I am hoping for a strong top 4 finish maybe 3rd but don't expect much more than that. I always seem to drop when involved in competitions such as the league and FA cup. Not because of fitness and fatigue but because i am always thinking about the competitions. Saying that on other FM's when Liverpool were in Champions League I seem to do ok; winning it once on penalties 10-9 against Barcelona back on FM 10.

In this years League Cup i crashed out in the 3rd round to a very good Bristol City who are now in the quarters after beating Manchester City! In the league cup i did play the youngster half hoping to lose half hoping to win either way it is good experience for the players.

I will be taking the FA cup seriously playing the first team, my aim from the board is the Semi final but if i do reach the semi finals i will be hoping to go further; doing well in the FA cup will take pressure off but i think reaching the top 4 will be fairly easy.

Over the next few months i hope to introduce Coates to the first team as he will develop better and Skrtel has underperformed especially as Agger has been my best player so far.

In the league Agger is the 3rd top goal scorer on 8 just one behind top. This is because i have a very good corner tactic with Agger on the front post getting on the end of the corners 90% of the time.

So far in the league i have been impressed with a few players these being Allen who is good both attacking and defending, Henderson who i didn't think would be that good but he has already forced Adam out the team and plays alot especially when Gerrard was injured and now plays as a sub or a fill in for right mid due to injuries.

On a whole the team attack very well together scoring 8 against Norwich with Agger getting a hat-trick and Zaha getting 2, I only have one tactic so the team have adapted very quickly especially with attacking as i put pre match preparation to Attacking movement and set it too high.

I am now approaching January and i am planning on buying Hoilett and selling Maxi and Kuyt to let Sterling come into the first team. That sorts out the right side but i am struggling to find an AML! someone under 23 please

Any ideas?!
 
Man City have offered Adam Johnson for £3.6mil but he is already at full potential and is only 2.5 stars :/ want someone with 3.5-4 star potential
